These cards have all been made with the Bird Crazy stamp from Tim Holtz and I have had so much fun with them.
They are not gender specific and so you can turn them into male or female cards with the flick of your pen.
I have added stripes and spots to some of mine to make them look different
I also bought the sets called Crazy Things which creates items that you can add to the birds like ties and hats, and Crazy Talk for sentiments to go with them.
I also bought the matching dies too.
I water coloured mine with Gansai Tambi water color paints
I used Glossy Accents on the balloons and eyes and left them to dry overnight.
The base cards are all the same design in different colours and the birds die cut and added to the front
This fabulous stamp set is sure to keep you amused for months on end and I will certainly be playing with them again
You can ring the changes for so many occasions with these and you will never be bored once the imagination gets fired up.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
I didn't like these birds when I first saw them. but I have seen so many great cards using them that I now love them. your cards are just great. TFS xx
ReplyDeleteOhMyGosh! What adorable cards! The stamp sets are so sweet! I love that there are dies too. Love using Glossy Accents to add dimension to the balloons and eyes. The eyes really adds character. These would work for a lot of ages!

Wonderful cards, Christina!
ReplyDeleteThe birds are so cool :))

Good Morning Christina :) OMG!! Wow SIX CARDS!!!! I Love them all with YOUR interpretation!! While I do use some Tim Holtz (sp?) products, I don't really care for his darker, grungier style of card-making. You have made me a convert on these birds, however. I love each and every card. You did a fabulous job on them Christina. Thank you!! Enjoy a very creative day. Big Hugs.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have had fun Christina, I know they have been very popular, but afraid they are not for me....Your cards look so beautiful, the vibrant colours are lovely...luv Ursula xx
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful card thanks Christina for sharing this brilliant ideas
ReplyDeleteHi Christina,
ReplyDeleteWhat fun cards! I have the birds along with the matching dies but as yet, I don't have the Crazy Things to go with them. I was thinking that I didn't really need them...but...they are so useful aren't they. I understand that Tim is bringing out Crazy Cats as well...that is one set I really need to save up for, if only to keep my sister in cards for the foreseeable future lol. The way you've coloured the birds is fantastic, the watercolours are so bright and cheerful. Thanks for sharing.

These birthday cards are just fantastic....these birds have character and so cute....what a wonderful set of cards...I like the coloring and the layout of the cards....tfs
ReplyDeleteWell done Christina
WOW, so cute! I too was not "crazy" about these birds at first but now after seeing them done so many times, now I love them! These are all great Christina.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina, love the design of your cards, I have seen these bird stamps on the Internet and didn't take to them at all, the eyes are scary, I am not into Tim Holtz grunge.
ReplyDeleteRegards Liz.
They are adorable....the kids certainly do like them - stamped off a bunch onto watercolor paper and die cut some....gave all to our grandson (9) and a set offside watercolor brushes. He LOVES them. More fun than the coloring books!!!!
ReplyDeletePaper Hugs,

Hi. I also didn't like the birds when I first saw them but seeing what you've created with them has changed my mind. I quite like them. Thanks for the demo.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful cards! Love the way you coloured the birds xx
ReplyDeleteLove the way you have used the birds on your cards. I personally do not like the crazy birds or the cats I have seen. Seems to me the younger generation love them soooooo I may have to give in and purchase them. hopefully I can do as good a job as you have.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina
ReplyDeleteLove them all. You're so clever with all your waster colouring
Love & best wishes

ReplyDeleteNot sure about these birds but love your cards so perhaps they will grow on me.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I have seen these crazy Birds and I fell head over heels in love with them right away! In fact, I loved them so much I have sent for the set of stamps, hopefully I can afford the dies to go with next month! I absolutely LOVE LOVE what you have done with these Christina, and I can't wait to get mine and have a play! Thanks so much for sharing!
