Having a collection of dies is no good unless you put them to good use and just because you buy new dies doesn't mean that you need to discard the older ones. So for todays card I am using the new Labels 56 and combining it with one of my old time favorites Label 8 Decorative Elements
Spellbinders Supplies:
- S6-001 5x7 Matting Basic A
- S6-002 5x7 Matting Basic B
- S5-148 Labels 8 Deco Elements
- S4-647 Labels 56 Deco Elements
- SES-001 Overlapping Circles EF
Other Supplies:
- Flowers, Leaves and centres from Wild Orchid Crafts
- Glitter from Glitter Magic
- Ribbon from Mei Flower
- Card from Papermill Direct
Instructions:
With die #7 from Matting Basic A cut two white layers to create a hinged card
With #7 from Matting Basic B cut one in pink
With #6 from Matting Basic A cut another white panel and emboss it with your folder.
The folder will not be big enough to take all the card so emboss one side and then turn the card around and emboss the portion that is not done.
It may leave a join mark but we are able to cover that with ribbon
(Remember that die #1 is always the smallest)
With #4 from Labels 8 Deco Elements cut one in pink and add foam pads to the back of this
With dies #2 and 3 cut these layer with the larger one in pink
Add a sentiment to the smaller panel in black ink and heat emboss with clear powder
With #3 cut this panel in white and add foam pads to the back of each one
Layer the Labels 8 Deco panel to the white embossed layer and then add both to the pink layer and wrap with ribbon.
Add all these layers to the base card and layer on the rest of the panels to assemble the card
The flowers I have added are a mirror image of each other at the top and bottom of the centre panel.
And if you struggle with your floral displays then here is a video that may help you with your arrangement ... Adding Flowers To Cards
More tomorrow ...

Another winner, old and new makes a great combination. I am so inspired by your flower arrangement that I am watching a great amount of flower making tutorial. I hope that I will be able to produce something as beautiful as what you are so generously sharing with us. I did purchase a lot of spellbinder dies since I have started to follow your blog. They are wonderful to work with.

ReplyDeleteAnother lovely card! The Labels dies are some of my favorites and I really like this combination together.I've been reorganizing my dies so I can use them better. It really does make a difference when you can easily put your hands on what you are looking for I felt like I was organized before but my dies are much better now. I'm using the Very Elle pastiche sleeves and magnetic sheets. My dies are very easy to find now and I'm loving that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for another incredibly beautiful card, Christina!
