During the clean up of the craft room I came across a lot of foamiran in many colours that I have not used up.
And so I thought I would make some flowers for my playtime cards and incorporate them with the other bits and pieces I have found on my desktop.
These two cards are the results of my find and for these I have used a very pale pink foam to die cut the flowers.
I have then inked over the edges of each petal with Worn Lipstick and used my heat tool to curl them into shape.

The leaves are also cut from foamiran and inked with dark green. I have used any dies that I came across first in my stash.
For the top card I have added an oval die cut to the panel that cut out a lovely bird and that has been added to an inked background panel.
The flowers and leaves have been arranged around the oval and the panel then dotted with pearls.
I lightly rubbed gilding wax over the flowers and the bird
For this next card I have used an aperture flourish die and that has also been added to an inked panel
The flowers are arranged at the top right of the card with the leaves trailing down the card.
The sentiment is from an old CMM set and I have dotted this panel with diamante.
I am quite pleased with both cards.

Try again - you should be pleased with these cards - they are lovely. Enjoy your day. Janet Boyne
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina. I am so sorry for my absence the last two days. After my call on Saturday I have been in agony with a broken rib and pain is unbelievable . It is starting to ease up a little now.. But it's not right.
ReplyDeleteI have looked back and as always your cards are beautiful. But I never had much luck with the foamiron. I tried and tried but for me it just didn't work. So I have up and stuck with what I know. . Thankyou Christina.. Sending hugs ๐คand best wishes to everyone. Please stay safe and well ๐. Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.
Hi Anne I am so sorry to read you have had an accident and I hope you feel better soon. Put your feet up over Christmas and let the family take care of you. I hope it doesn’t spoil things too much for you Big hugs xxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Christina two beautiful cards, I have made flowers with foamiron which I love to glitter but never thought about putting gilding wax on them, so I will give that a go thank you for the inspiration.

Two lovely cards. I prefer working with paper myself.

Hi Christina, I’ve never mastered Foamiron ~ I couldn’t get quite the right look with it. I love the use of the cutout panel on the second card, I’ll definitely have to try this! Take care.

I've heard of foamiran before, but I've never worked with it or seen it in person. Love the cards you created and the dimension!
ReplyDeleteso pretty. love the colors Vicki L Phillips
ReplyDeleteThe cards are lovely, Christina. I have not used foam much in making flowers as I prefer paper. But, I do have a question for you. You are always saying that you found this or that bit of paper or flower or embellishment on your workspace. What kind of storage system are you using to keep all of these bits and pieces organized and out of your way? I have limited workspace and even when I'm making a very big batch of cards (like holiday cards) the scraps I'm saving keep getting in my way or keep getting knocked to the floor. I've tried little sandwich bags, envelopes (but I can't see what's in side) and a small box that I just through everything in and then have to continually search thru it to find the right scrap. How do you do it? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI keep large coloured scraps in a bag and give those to my step daughter as she is a teacher. I keep die cut shapes in a tray and use these on my cards, background panels I trim down to fit card fronts and keep them in a box ready for use Cxx
DeleteYou should be pleased, they are gorgeous!

Lovely cards Christina. I have some foam but was never happy with the results. Perhaps I should give it another try.

Lovely cards as always, Christina. Thanks so much for showcasing these as you've jogged my goldfish memory into realising that I've got a box full of large sheets of FoamIran that I've not used. Found them along with the shaping tools and flower dies kept in a safe place I totally forgot about. Looks like I'm going to get to use them in the new year. Bejay Roles x
ReplyDeletethese are beautiful. i would love to play with foamiran. it's not so easily found over here. i love your coloring of it to make it so real looking. beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Christina, I have never tried these but they are beautiful. Love Anne Owens ❤️
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love flowers, and I have seen most of your cards with flower theme, absolutely beautiful as always. The first card, which flower dies did you use? They are lovely. I have foam but haven't tried yet, intended as embellishments on my mini album. I wonder if they will become brittle after some time.
ReplyDeleteNo I not tried foam either, I watched people heat it and mould it, think I stick with die cutting, postage is becoming so expensive now, more flat cards! Not 3 dimensional.
