This little card is created with just an ink smooshed background that has been splattered with some gold and then layered onto gold mirror card
I have stamped the sentiment directly onto the base card, which is 5x7, and the patterned panel has been added with some foam underneath to give it some depth.
The base card is top folded and used in Landscape just to ring the changes in the way I usually lay out my designs.
I am sure that many of you already have a set very much the same as this one.
It doesn't need to be identical to create this look for your self so take a look through your own collections and see what you have..
You could even use real ribbon if you preferred and that would look just as good.
Bye for now ...
Hugs xx
Nice card Christina, simple but effective. I have these dies but had forgotten about them . Time to put them to good use again. Joyce Jennings x

ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day Sue xx
I think I have this set, and haven't used it in so long, such a pretty way to use it!
ReplyDeleteYour smooching technique paper shines through with the white of the paper. It makes for a very beautiful card.

Love the bow! So pretty in gold! Beautiful birthday card!
ReplyDeleteHi Christina and all that visit today. A lovely little quickie card Christina. Sometimes these turn out as lovely as the ones you spend hours on don't you think?. I don't have these bow dies but I do have some from another set of yours and I do use them regular . So this will be yet another one to keep, for another day. I just wish at the moment I had more time to do the craft that I love. Thankyou Christina. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone. Please stay safe and well. Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds
ReplyDeleteI like the ribbon. I wouldn't know what to do with that die. Thanks for the demo. Have a great, sunny week. Vicki L Phillips

this is lovely Christina :) I have often looked at those types of dies and wondered how to use them :)
ReplyDeleteThat's really pretty. Simple but effective!
ReplyDeleteMorning - it’s very nice here in Spain! I have that bow set and funnily enough I was just looking at it the other day. Haven’t used it for ages. Might have to rethink. Janet Boyne
ReplyDeleteLess is more as the saying goes, this one turned out lovely and I bet it’s better in the hand with the gold accents. I don’t use many paper bows only ribbon ones, I will give it a try.

Lovely card Christina, love all your inspiration. Love Anne Owens ❤️
ReplyDeleteMorning Christina, I love using gold mirror card and this birthday card is so simple but really effective. I don't have the same die set that you used, but I do have bows and borders that should work just as well. Haven't tried smooching as yet...I think it's time to get my hands dirty. Bejay xx
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card Christina. I love your smooshing colours together and the gold ribbon x
ReplyDeleteNice card, I do have a set of these dies & forget about them, I will have a sort them out & use again, thanks for the reminder they make a nice change to a card. Lovely morning all, hope you get out for a walk today Christina, take care x
ReplyDeleteI was organising my dies and so happened it was the bow dies set which I have never used. This sample card is just what I need to inspire me using my bow dies though it was slightly different from yours.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration!
