Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

Fancy cards ...

Hi Everybody,

This is a card I did quite some time ago and I am now being asked how to do it.

And so the video is added here to show the steps.

And the beauty of this is that it can be done from any die that you already have in your "Stash" that  has a fancy edge to it and you will get the same result.

This card is using the 5x7 Detailed Scallops and the card it creates is a nice size to add things to in layers.

I have created the hinge at the top but it could just as easily be hinged to make it landscape style.

This is a smaller card created from the Decorative Labels Eight but the effect is just as pretty.

Grab your cuppa and take time to relax ... and then enjoy making the card for yourself.

You may need to pass the card through your machine a couple of times to get the layer on the hinge to cut ... depending on which die cutter you use

But persevere and then gently ease it from the die and you will be delighted with the result.

Not Pink ....

Hi Everybody,

I thought I would add a card today that was not pink ... just for a change.

So this one is a lovely fresh pale green polka dot teamed with a pale lilac ... and I like the finished card very much.

The dies I have used are listed below and the ribbon is from my "Stash".

The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts  and I have added sparkle with fine glitter.

I buy  mine from Glitter Magic  as they are always at the craft shows and their glitter is a much better price than the shops.

I usually buy lots of packets of the same glitter and then decant them  into a larger container ... and if I ever dropped it I would cry ...really cry !!

I have added a label inside for the inscription of signature and wrapped it with the same green ribbon.

It does look so much more glamorous in real life

Chantilly Flourish ...

Hi Everybody,

Chantilly Flourish was one of the Tattered Lace dies in the Pick of the Week that was featured on Create and Craft TV  ... and it sold out before the week was finished.

I have cut it twice and used it as a background to the labels.

The sentiment is from Crafters Companion and is one of the Sentimentals Range  and I have embossed it in silver.

The pink pearls are from Want2Scrap  and the ribbon was in my "Stash"

The cut shapes are quite big and so I have  also cut another corner and added it to the inside of the card.

But I have only glued it on three sides then it can be used as a pocket.

The open end then will have a tag to slide inside it for the greeting to be added to.

Just a simple finishing touch but a very pretty one.

Glittery Shoe

Hi Everybody,

Todays card is made using  the large shoe from  Stamps by Chloe  that has been decoupaged  using three layers and I used the stamping card from AnnaMarie Designs

I have stamped and embossed it with Pink embossing powder and  then covered the outside of the shoe with glitter.

I added in some pink feathers, ribbon, and a gemstone centre to the bow and then layered it onto Tattered Lace  dies
The pretty gemstone centre is from Wild Orchid Crafts   and the spotty ribbon is some I bought at the craft show from  Mei Flower

Altogether a very girly card that would be suitable for many occasions.

Card with a Difference

Hi Everybody,

We probably have all made Easel Cards of some description and then added in the Twist to change the look.

I have tutorials on all ... single, doubles, triples, twisted variations  and this the Quad Easel Card

This different style of card has been very popular with a lot of people and it has had over 11.000 views on YouTube since it was added.

It's claim to fame was that it was once featured on Create and Craft and I was named as the maker.

Can't tell you how chuffed I was about that .... oh yes!! cat and cream had nothing on me for a whole week.

Anyway here is the video tutorial just in case you should want to try it for your self ... and it is only 10 minutes long.

I was using  flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts back then too and still do ... love 'em ...  Hope you enjoy
