Butterflies ...

Hi Everybody,

This card is created in a a beautiful shade of pink from the Adorable Scorable range by Hunkydory.   The link will take you to their selection of colors

This one is Candy Floss and it really is a delicate shade ... just perfect for all your girly cards.

The top layer is from the Sue Wilson French Collection and this is the background die from JGD Crafts   I love this die as it is so delicate.

Once I have cut the card I sprayed it with adhesive and then sprinkled it all with glitter from Glitter Magic and the effect is gorgeous.

I wrapped organza ribbon from Mei Flower around the layers  and topped it with a Chocolate Box Bow  The little dazzler in the centre of the bow is from Wild Orchid Crafts

The sentiment is  one from the stamp sheet by Sheena Douglass  and they are available from   Crafters Companion     I really like this card and it so much better in real life

Dreamer ...

Hi Everybody,

The sentiment on this beautiful card is from the stamp range by  Sheena Douglass and there are many quite large sentiments on the sheet ... and some gorgeous butterflies too

This was a card I was asked to make and it comes complete with matching box.

The die I have used is the Tied Together and it is from JGD Crafts  It matches the Tied Together embossing folder also from the same craft shop

It is such a lovely design and will enhance any of your cards and I use it to create the aperture in the box lid. Always a really good way to showcase the card inside.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts  and sparkled up with fine glitter from Glitter Magic

The buckle for the bow is also from WOC and I have added it to satin ribbon from Mei Flower

The diamanté around the edge of the card and the ow is from Want2Scrap  and adds a really elegant touch for such a special card and the addition of organza butterflies to both card and box makes it even better.

Grand Decorative Ovals

Hi Everybody,

I have had a couple of emails this week asking me about the Grand Decorative Ovals and so what better time to show you a card made using those very items.

This is another example of making the most of your dies and using them in ways other than their intended purpose.

This is in video format so that you can see how I made the card and on the page on the website you will find links to two other ways to use Grand Decorative Ovals     giving you even more scope with these large dies.

Here is the tutorial for you and I hope you enjoy it and for the others just click the link above (the pink words)  ...

The pearl flourish is from Want2Scrap  for a really luxurious touch to the card.   The flowers I have used on all three cards are from Wild Orchid Crafts

The butterfly on this card is made by me and I have tutorial on how I made them ... Making Butterflies   from flower petals.

Using the Corners ...

Hi Everybody,

I have not had time yet to play with the craft show goodies from yesterday but I will make something with them later today.

This is a card I made  a while ago and can't remember if I ever posted it.

So if I have then my apologies ... and if I haven't then here is the card.

It is just a long thin card 21 x 14 cms  with the fold at the top.

I have layered it up with pink and black on the white base.   There are two dies in this Filigree Corners pack and  I cut several of the largest corner in white.

They have been layered onto an embossed panel and I have dotted some small pearls on the points

The Labels Eighteen has been cut around the sentiment,  which is from   Lili of the Valley   and it has matching "Bling" from   Want2Scrap

The flowers are from   Wild Orchid Crafts   and if you only want a small amount of flowers then don't forget the   Starter Packs   which are a real bargain.

So this is just a couple of ideas on how to use up those corner dies with a little difference

And the card on the left  is to add them as a pocket for you to add a little tag into

Tuck them  into the pocket as a good place  for you or any one who buys your cards to add any personal sentiment or signature

Craft show "Goodies" ...

Hi Everybody,

What a lovely day I have had out in the sunshine and going to the craft show.

I bought quite a few items  but mostly essential stuff like card and glues.

But some of the pretty things that you can see in the photo are some lovely  strings of pearls   from Anna Marie Designs and they are going to look fabulous on my cards.

I bought lots of card from AnnaMarie too and also some from Limetree Craft and they have a really good display of card in all different weights and colors.

My favorite ribbon was there too and I bought loads of satin ribbon in white to color myself from Mei Flower

I bought some new craft knives and blades and tweezers too ... along with scissors as they are always needed in the craft room.

And from the ever useful Pound stall I bought lots of magnetic sheets to store my Spellbinders on and at £1 they are an absolute bargain ... and the deal was buy 12 and pay for 10 so I bought lots of them.

I also got some really pretty embellishments to add to cards for a truly luxury finish from   Chloes Creative Cards  but do price these into your cards carefully if you sell them.

I also met some lovely ladies who recognised me from my visit to Create and Craft TV ... and that was a very strange feeling ... but very nice.

So after a really lovely day out and a wonderful roast beef Sunday Lunch I am home again ... tired,  happy and full.
