Making Vases from Die Cuts

Hi Everybody,

As promised I have now completed the video that shows how I made the style of vase shown from die cuts.

I have used the Pentagon Bauble Easel to make the shape and this one has been painted in Arteza Metallic Blue and then dry brushed with gold

But while I was making another vase I thought it would be a good idea to show all three sizes that can be had from the dies

And so this photos shows you all the sizes side by side.
I kept to one basic colour scheme for effect, and I gave them a coat of clear gloss varnish and let them dry.

They can all be displayed together as one collection, or kept individual for flowers.

They are not waterproof though so only add faux lowers to them .I know they won't be around for a lifetime and they are not going to become family heirlooms, but I had fun making them and they do look kind of pretty on my shelf

Be Yourself ...

 Hi Everybody,

Todays card is created from  some Altenew dies and pink glitter card, and the overall effect is vibrant and cheerful
I did an ink smooshed background behind the die cut panel.

The panel is made from the two dies that go to make up the Layered Plaid

There are several looks you can get with this die cut simply by changing the colours of the card that you use

And of course the same applies to the flower.

I added one of the Card Making Magic Pearl flourishes along the side just to add that finishing touch.

I got my dies quite some time ago from Sevenhills Crafts but I don't know if they are still available to purchase.

The glitter card is from Craft Stash along with the flourish

Happy Birthday Mum

 Hi Everybody,

This was a card I made some time ago and I have to say it is one of my favourites.

I love the flowers and the tiny organza butterflies as well as the colour scheme and the diamante.

I used the Alphabet set from my own dies and I covered them with Glossy Accents and a little shake of glitter.

I don't have a mum to send this too but I would be very happy if someone sent something like this to me

The Distress Oxides that i used are Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon.

They always make a beautiful blend  whenever I use them and Distress Oxides blend so easily too

You can just amke out the spattered effect that I did with water onto the background and this just lifts a little bit of colour from the inks
