I am so pleased that you like the latest Give Away ... I told you it was a good prize and if you haven't entered yet then here is the link to the page where you can add your name for the chance to win the ... Spectrum Noir Pens
Over the next few days I am going to add photos of images that have been coloured by me with my Spectrum Noirs. And hopefully you will like the cards and want to win them even more.
They are such a versatile pen and well within most peoples budgets. Please, please don't be afraid to colour ... practise and the more you do the better you will become.
I know I have said it before but it is worth repeating here .... you do not need all of the 168 pens ... start with some of the six pens sets and you will have more than enough to get the results that you want.
My advice for a starter set would be the Pale Hues ... to colour skin ... both dark and light skin.
Essentials ... as this has black and the blender pen.
And then choose two of your favorite colours, and depending on what it is you like to colour.
My choices were blue and pink when I started ... why ... well because most people wear jeans these days both male and female.... and pink .... well just because I love pink... and what I like to colour the most are characters.
So this image is Blanche and she is from Saturated Canary where you will find some fabulous characters to colour.
I will be away Friday and Saturday so my posts will go out scheduled ... hopefully/ But I will be back on Sunday with some Goodies bought from the GNPE show in Harogate.
Please look out for us and say "Hello" Look for my "Film Crew" who will be wearing his Card Making Magic baseball hat and probably carrying a large bag.
Hugs xx
Good Morning Christina,
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this, it is beautiful. Her dress is just fantastic, I feel if I popped my hand against it I would really feel the texture you have created.
Catching up with a few Blogs before I get on my journey down to Harrogate. Really looking forward to getting to the GYPE on Saturday................might just spot you in the crowds.
Have a Great Time

ReplyDeleteBeautiful ,gorgeous design and colours.xxx
ReplyDeleteBlanche looks beautiful the way you have coloured her. Wish I was going to Harrogate but bank of hubby is delighted that I'm not! Have a great time. Pat x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Christina. Is there a special type of paper to use. I have tried different papers, different inks and always the black outline bleeds into the colour.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully colored! I am so awed by those who can color with shading. I know it take practice and when I retire I will learn to color properly. I usually shy away from characters because I don;t color very well. Hopefully I will win the pens and then I can really practice. Thanks for all your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Christina, I am so in love with this card. Green is my lifetime favorite color and that image....she is so sassy. I love your coloring and am seriously thinking of collecting the Spectrum Noir pens. Thank you bunches for sharing all of your fabulous talent and instructions. I have learned so much and been so inspired by you. Hugs Lori
ReplyDeleteThe green on this card is fantastic (as is the rest of the coloring)! And the background paper really pops! Is it another of your beautiful created backgrounders? The whole thing turned out lovely. I was impressed with your post about all the leftover cards you have. How do you make that many cards? Seems like it takes me forever to make one. Enjoy your time at the show! Blessings, Melinda Smith
ReplyDeleteI bought these pens just from your advise alone...and I must say I love them...they are easy to color with and blend prefect...and the best is they don't cost and arm and a leg to buy...thank you again for sharing your creations with us with these pens...love it...
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card, Christina!! Your coloring is just out-of-this-world fabulous!! I know I need to purchase some pens and start coloring, but I don't think I'd ever be able to get the shading right. Have a great day :)
