Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

December 31, 2013

In Response ...

Hi Everybody,

I have been  asked why I do two particular things to my cards when I make them ...

  1. Why do you add in the extra hinge to your cards
  2. Why do you add the lining to the inside
I explained to my enquirer why I did these things but it occurred to me that if one person was wondering about this then so may others.

And so in true Christina style I decided to do a  video and explain why to everybody.

It was one of those videos that I asked my self should I really be doing and would people think I was being to trivial.

But after just two hours on YouTube it had had 105 views and five comments from crafters saying it had helped them .. so maybe not so trivial after all.

Thank you to all those who have viewed the video and taken the time to let me know that you enjoyed it.

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  1. Christina, all of your cards are simply gorgeous!!! Your video's are so informative (my 80yr old mother even sits with me & watches ~ also commenting on how beautiful they are!!! ) I like the look of the A2 cards you've been making. I am a new convert to Spellbinders & I am absolutely loving them. I keep telling hubby that he needs to go back to work, so I can buy more of the dies & embossing folders. I am now looking for a machine that will do an A4 sheet, and it's leaning more & more to the Grand Calibur. There are two other brands out there, but both are from the UK & I would prefer to buy from a dealer here in Aus, more for servicing & parts if need be.
Happy New Year to you & Griff, I hope you both get what you need out of 2014..

  2. I agree that it was worth doing this video as a lot of people wouldn't understand about the balance of the card when embellishing the front with lots of prettiness. I love the card with the clear bubble on the front but can't seem to buy anything like that here in Australia even at Easter time. I wish you and your family a very happy new year and look forward to more of your lovely cards and videos.

  17. I agree with everyone about how important this type of video can be. Many craters learn from videos and admire the beautifully layered cards but aren't sure how to achieve the look. That's what I love about your videos Christine. You share the steps.

Someone asked about purchasing the half acetate eggs. Sizzix was carrying them in packs of five so larger flowers can be put on cards. You might check there.
Thank you for all your inspiration Christine.
