Cream is the order of the day for this little card but it has lots of layers to it.
I have teamed it with a really pale shade of green with paler cream flowers on it and it works quite well together ... though the green is not really showing on the photo.
The verse is from the Every day sentiments from Lili of the Valley and is just one of a set of lovely verses on one sheet
The dies have been layered with foam tape, and with Satin edged Organza ribbon wrapped around the bottom.
The single rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts and I have sparkled it with fine glitter from Glitter Magic
The beautiful pears are from Want2Scrap and I have added tiny ones all around the Scalloped edge
Please Note ...
I have been using the older Spellbinders in many of the latest cards that I have been showing as they are such a considered purchase, and they are some I have had for a long time.We all need to get as much use out of the SB's that we buy, after all you don't buy a set of dies for a one time use only.
But I must stress to you that you can get them cheaper if you shop around .... Ebay, Amazon, Save on Hobbies, Sunrise Crafts, Once Upon a Stamp and many many more discount places.
The list of the dies that I add at the end of each post is there for information purposes only to show you the dies available ... so that you know what to look for when you go shopping.
Do your research and find the best possible price for your self ... you owe it to yourself to get the bargains.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
Lovely card Christine.I love the cream colors.
ReplyDeleteChristina, please can you do a tutorial on sizes? i dont know what im doing ive bought the matting basics A&B but then realized its an A2 i dint even know that there was one, does this mean i can only make cards in an A2 size? im just so gutted
ReplyDeleteive also noticed my cuttlebug folders are about the same size an A2....are there different sizes for them aswell?
its so confusing for a beginner, please please make a video on a beginners card!
Pretty layers Christina - a very feminine card. I agree about shopping around - the difference in price can be amazing. Pat x

So beautiful Christina. It's nice to see the older dies being used. Yes you are right about shopping around. Sometimes you can save 3 or 4 pounds by just a few minutes surfing. Oyster Stamps and IconUK are two other good companies.
ReplyDeleteLove the card, so elegant, would work as a wedding card as well. I also agree with you a shopping for SB dies. FYI for those in the states, went to JoAnns this week, had several SB dies for, check this out ladies, 60% off, in store only though.
ReplyDeletePiękna i delikatna!
ReplyDeleteTo Fizz: Geez I know your confusion as a beginner. There are A2 and 5 x 7 in the
ReplyDeletebasics dies. Spellbinders has Grand (largest) Large and Small of Shapes, then there are Large and Small Decorative dies that fit on top. Embossing Folders are A2 size, 5x7,
6x6, 8x8 and 8 1/2 x 11. Not all companies make all sizes but they are available. I hope this helped you a little.
Beautiful card Christina, lots of layers there but oh so pretty.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card! Very cool and elegant. I love the way you show off the older dies, as I don't have such a large collection, but enjoy very much the ones I do have. It's nice to see what else we can do with them. Thank you for all of the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina such a stunning card love all the layers a white card looks very elegant.
