Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

Superb Stargazer Lilies ...

Hi Everybody,

This beautiful card is created using another of the Create a Flower dies from Spellbinders.

This is the Stargazer Lily and it is one that looks far more complicated than it is ... so don't be put off.

On the video I have shown you how to make this flower for two different purposes.

Here I have made just two of the Lilies and added them to a card and I think the effect is very pretty.

The flowers them selves have been colored with alcohol markers to give the shading as in the real flower

You can do that with anything that you have in your own personal "Stash"  ... watercolor pencils,   alcohol markers,  pastels,  distress inks

And lilies come in many colors so you can make them suit your color scheme.

Scroll  down to watch the video on how to make these very realistic flowers ...

.. and the video will show you how to add a stem to them to make them into an independent  display

Here I have added them to a little porcelain shoe along with some green ivy

I have tied the whole lot with ribbon and this would make a lovely addition to someone dressing table.

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

Another stunning card today. I have all the dies bar the fancy tags. Thanks for showing us how to make the lilies, although you could use any flower die to make this card.

  18. Beautiful, Christina! I love lilies but haven't planted any in my new garden yet. Seeing how to put these on a stem will mean I can at least have some indoors and no mess or bother either. Thanks for showing us it's not as difficult as it looks. x

  22. Do you use any particular sort of paper for your flowers, Christina, or do you use vellum? I am going away for a week and have all the important stuff packed for a craft making trip and wondered about the best paper, or does ordinary craft paper do the trick? I have, previously used card stock and paper collection paper but had heard vellum was very good too? Hope you can help me out please?
