This card is created in the Hinged Card Style and I have used 5x7 Matting Basics A&B to give me the layers
The top layer has been embossed with the 8x8 Folder from Crafters Companion called Elegance
I have stamped and embossed the sentiment into the channel on the folder before I emboss and then I am sure that it is in the correct space
The flowers are a mixture of Roses, Chrysanthemums, Tulips and Cherry Blossom from Wild Orchid Crafts and I have sparkled them with Glitter Magic
But the flower I have really fallen in love with from WOC and I am using it a lot is Gypsophila This is such a pretty flower and so versatile.
I curve it around some of my sentiments or, as here in this photo, just draping it from the corsage, but I love it ...look out for it in other floral displays I do you are sure to see it !!
I have added the flowers to Labels Thirty Three using the #4 die and then cutting a Faux Nestie around it ... and if you click the link the video will show you how to get this result for yourself
The card is lined and the butterflies are from my "Stash" with butterfly trails with Diamanté from Want2Scrap
(Any of the colored words are links to other pages ... all you need to do is click them and a new window will open for you)
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina :) What a Beautiful Card to start out my rainy Sunday Morning. Love the embossing folder, but apparently it's too big for my little Cuttlebug. At best, I can use up to a 5x7. Ahhhh, but there are ways….. to get a similar effect. Thank you soooooo much for sharing and inspiring. Enjoy a most wonderful day. Big Hugs.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! I love the embossing folder you used.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely and elegant card :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Christina, love everything about it x
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card today. I have traced the outside of the die and fussy cut it out before but never thought to trace and cut the inside to make 3 layers. This gives the card more layers and makes it more interesting without extra bulk when you have already popped up other layers, flowers and bows. Thanks for the video. Dianne Crowe
ReplyDeleteYou've created another beautiful card, Christina. Seeing that blank area left by embossing folder has given me an idea on how to use smaller embossing folders on a larger card..just emboss from the top and then turning around and embossing from the bottom leaving a blank space for the sentiment. Thanks for the inspiration. Also wanted to thank you for the tip in a previous post stating that decorating the inside by layering also helps to keep the card from being too heavy in the front. I made a 50th anniversary card for my brother and SIL with lots of layers on the front..layers separated by pop dots (your inspiration..thank you) and found that the card wanted to fall over when I tried to stand it up, hence the lined inside. Thank you so much for inspiring us all to create better cards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card this is Christina .... I love the way that you do the butterfly trails with the gems, I never think to do that! I really must! The flowers look awesome too, and as for the gypsophila, it is absolutely gorgeous, just as the real flowers are! TFS!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
