Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

January 13, 2016

Love those Birds !!

Hi Everybody,

These cards have all been made with the  Bird Crazy stamp from Tim Holtz and I have had so much fun with them.

They are not gender specific and so you can turn them into male or female cards with the flick of your pen.

I have added stripes and spots to some of mine to make them look different

I also bought the sets called  Crazy Things  which creates items that you can add to the birds like ties and hats, and  Crazy Talk  for sentiments to go with them.

I also bought the matching dies too.

I water coloured mine with Gansai Tambi  water color paints

I used Glossy Accents on the balloons and eyes and left them to dry overnight.

The base cards are all the same design in different colours and  the birds die cut and added to the front

This fabulous stamp set is sure to keep you amused for months on end and I will certainly be playing with them again

You can ring the changes for so many occasions with these and you will never be bored once the imagination gets fired up.

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  2. OhMyGosh! What adorable cards! The stamp sets are so sweet! I love that there are dies too. Love using Glossy Accents to add dimension to the balloons and eyes. The eyes really adds character. These would work for a lot of ages!

  12. Good Morning Christina :) OMG!! Wow SIX CARDS!!!! I Love them all with YOUR interpretation!! While I do use some Tim Holtz (sp?) products, I don't really care for his darker, grungier style of card-making. You have made me a convert on these birds, however. I love each and every card. You did a fabulous job on them Christina. Thank you!! Enjoy a very creative day. Big Hugs.

  15. Hi Christina,
What fun cards! I have the birds along with the matching dies but as yet, I don't have the Crazy Things to go with them. I was thinking that I didn't really need them...but...they are so useful aren't they. I understand that Tim is bringing out Crazy Cats as well...that is one set I really need to save up for, if only to keep my sister in cards for the foreseeable future lol. The way you've coloured the birds is fantastic, the watercolours are so bright and cheerful. Thanks for sharing.

  18. Hi Christina, love the design of your cards, I have seen these bird stamps on the Internet and didn't take to them at all, the eyes are scary, I am not into Tim Holtz grunge.
    Regards Liz.

  19. They are adorable....the kids certainly do like them - stamped off a bunch onto watercolor paper and die cut some....gave all to our grandson (9) and a set offside watercolor brushes. He LOVES them. More fun than the coloring books!!!!

  22. Love the way you have used the birds on your cards. I personally do not like the crazy birds or the cats I have seen. Seems to me the younger generation love them soooooo I may have to give in and purchase them. hopefully I can do as good a job as you have.
