This card is not a water colour but is created on black card with Spectrum Noir Pencils.
It was just something I was playing around with the other day to see how it would turn out.
The outline to the flower has been heat embossed in gold and then coloured in.
I think the pencils showed up really well on the black card and makes a card with a difference especially for me.
Not sure if I like the card but it was worth playing with on a cold winters day !!
However I do love the stamp which is Peony Scrolls from Alte New and there is also a matching die
I bought both of mine from Sevenhills Crafts and they stock a lot of the US stamps on their website
The sentiment was stamped and embossed in the same gold onto some black card and the trimmed into a little banner. The card is from Papermill Direct and is a 255 gsm so a really good quality
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about experimenting. We need to do that now and again.
We would end up in a continuous bubble on sameness if we did not.

ReplyDeleteWow, Christina I think this is most beautiful, I just love the colouring and that white shadow you put behind it looks amazing, makes it 'pop'....is it a white pencil ????? Why oh why don't you like it ???? I think it is amazing.....Luv Ursula xx
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina :) First of all "Wow"! This is definitely an Art Piece, which can be interpreted differently by each beholder. I see it as an awesome sympathy card in which a deity is speaking in bold letters. Or, for someone going through a difficult time in which the giver of the card is speaking their support. However one interprets it, this card is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and very, very different from any other card I have ever seen anywhere. I love it when you experiment like this! Thank you so much for sharing. Sooooooooooo.... how was the craft show????? Enjoy a terrific day Dear Lady. Big Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Christina. The colouring is wonderful.

Hi, Christina,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!!!! It's very dark and mysterious. The pencils have done a wonderful job, it's quite atmospheric isn't it and deffo not your usual style. It's great to experiment though isn't it and I think you've come up with a winner. Of course, I went right over to the website and now I've got quite a healthy wish list on the go over there lol.
