Lower Alphas ...

Hi Everybody,

This simple and easy card is created with the Lower Case Alphas that were introduced in the Birthday Celebrations last week.

They match perfectly the Upper case ones and are a fabulous addition to your own collection to help you personalise your cards.

Many people have unusual names that you will not find as standard.
Or even names that they like to spell outside the norm.

For instance how many ways do you know to spell the name Christina ???
I have seen it as Krystina, Chrysteena, Kristyna , to mention just a few ... need I say more, none of that is standard spelling.

So this little set will give you endless possibilities when ti comes to adding names to your creations.

Personally I love it and it has opened up new avenues for me in the future, when it comes to different occasions I may be asked to make a card for.

Altnew Chrysanthemum

Hi Everybody,

I was having a little play over the weekend with some Altenew Stamps and coordinating dies that I have had for some time and this is what I came up with.

I think these flowers are so pretty and I love the card.

But the reason I am showing it to you twice is to see the difference just a few gemstones can make to add a luxury feel to any card
I have added just five  small pink stones to the card and I think it looks so much better.

I have used cream card for the base and added one slightly smaller layer with foam tape for a little depth.

It is a layering stamp in four sections but I only used three and three shades of pink ink for the flowers and two shades of green for the leaves

Here is another one that I did at the same time with flowers in another area to ring the changes.

Both are lovely but the first one has to be my favourite.

There's just something about that one that makes it extra special

Paint Pouring with Arteza

Hi Everybody

The painting is finished and today my eldest daughter came to collect it.

She is going to put it in her dining room and she is thrilled to bits with it.

You can see from her holding it just how big it is but I am really pleased with the way it turned out.

So covering up the Audrey Hepburn painting underneath has worked out well in the end and Mandi now has a more modern painting to add to her home

I should have signed it for when I get to be a famous artist  !!

There is a lot of Arteza Metallic Colours in there as well as the gold but I have also added the Gold Leaf which shines brightly in the picture.

I used a really thin brush to create what look like gold veins in the colours.

And then it has had two coats of varnish to seal it all.

Oh well I am pleased that Mandi is pleased with it and it has now gone to its new home.

I have another one on the go at present which is for Griffs eldest daughter Nicola and that has also got gold leaf on it.

Its not as big as this one and I will show you that next week once the varnish is dry
