This pretty card is very simple for me ... and if you have been a regular follower then you will know how much I like to add the embellishments to my designs
But this one is using only Spellbinders dies to create every part of it and I really like the effect.
It is in a short vidoe for you to see the steps I took to make it and you are free to take those steps and utilise them as you wish.
I have used blue card in stripes spots and a birthday text from AnnaMarie Designs and the quality is a beautiful soft matt finish.
I particularly like the effect with the sentiment and this can be achieved with craft foam
But if you don't have any on hand then the same look can be done by cutting out the shape maybe four or five times and glueing them together
The dies I have used are ...
5x7 Matting basics A&B
Modern Stationery
Elegant Ovals
Pretty Petals A & B
Sentiments Three
Foliage
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
Wow-beautiful card. I love the tip about using paper on top of foam to make the sentiment stand out.

ReplyDeleteHi Christina,
ReplyDeleteWow...what a different card from you today. I have to say that although I love all your flower laden cards, I think this one is a very lovely change from the norm. I love the way you used fun foam to bulk up the sentiment and the Spellbinders flower dies are always so successful. Thanks so much for this change of style. x
Good Morning Christina :) A very pretty card this morning. I enjoyed watching the video again. I wish you had a daily show "Crafting with Christina" . I would be glued to the tv every time you were on. Thank you so much for sharing. I think I may have to give this one go. I'll need to adapt a little, but I think I could do it. Thank you for all you do. Enjoy a wonderful day. Big Hugs.
