Pretty in Pink ...

Hi Everybody,

My Grand-daughter, Robyn,  has been asked to be God-Mother to her friends daughter  and she is so pleased about it.

So she asked me if I would make her a Special Card for the parents to keep and this is what I came up with.

The request was for pink and flowery and it is certainly that.

The pink foiled card is some that I bought from Cardcraft Plus on my trip out to Preston on Monday

The inside has just been decorated with a little tag for Robyn to sign her name.

The pretty baby feet ribbon is from The Ribbon Room

The card used is white hammered card and pink Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion

The flowers are a mixture of Tulips, Carnations, Roses and another one I can't remember the name of ... soreeee !!

 More tomorrow ...

Plain to Pretty ...

HI Everybody,

Well that was a very successful draw yesterday and the "Wishes and Kisses" CD is an excellent prize to win.

So if you didn't  win you can still get a copy if you pop over to Funky Hand   and  treat yourself.

Todays card is on another note altogether and I know I said that flowers make the difference but  there's not even a flower on this one.

What I wanted to do was show how a pretty card can be transformed into something special without them or a lot of embellishments.

This is a 5 x 7 Hinged Card    and the background has been embossed with the Regal M-Bossabilities  folder.

Then 20 small pearls from Want2Scrap  are  all it took to make it look so much better.

I have kept to an all white theme and this could suit many occasions.

The  pretty white ribbon has embroidered hearts and is from The Ribbon Room

The sentiment is from Clarity Stamp which is another UK based company for beautiful quality stamps.

More tomorrow ...

You Are Amazing ...

Hi Everybody,

How I love you ladies ... you are  ALL  amazing and I  thank you all for your interest in the Blending Tools and that you would like to win them.

I get the message loud and clear that you would like the tools but no more comments please.
And please stop with the compliments to my "Film Crew"

His head is getting so big from all the praise he won't be able to get through the door.  He has had so much fun reading all the comments though.

Some of you have suggested that we go into selling them ..... now there's an idea for the coming months....   and Griff is now pricing up materials to go in to full scale production.

But that produces another question ....... What would you consider a fair prices for a pack of  5 Blending Tools ???   Bearing in mind the cost of one of them in your country... and of course P&P

Another thing Griff  has done is produce some very pretty stands for the mannequins and this is what they are like ....

I am in the process of sourcing  just the actual body forms  and the stands are what you would need to display them.

These are square and beveled along the edge to make them more interesting, and the doweling rod  is a good size too.

So this will be another give away in the next couple of months.

It will have everything you need to make the hat and the Dress Form ... including the peg for the hat.

It will need to be assembled by you and then you can decorate it however you wish.

And of course the videos on the Hats and the Dress Forms will show you how to do that.

I have done a lovely pink one just to give you an idea of how it will look when decorated.  The photograph is looking down onto the Form.

You can see the stand and they are in proportion to the size of the Dress Form.

This one has been stained and varnished.

I have come up with a different style for the Hat too and you won't need the Polystyrene balls either.

This one is covered in felt with Maribou Feather  trim  and it looks gorgeous in real life.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts   Any "Bling" is from Want2Scrap
Here you can see the two different styles.

The one on the right is domed and the other is shaped similar to a top hat ... but not as high.

Over the weekend this will be a video on how to make this one.

So I am planning some exciting

 "Give Aways"
over the next few months and I hope you will come and participate as they come up.

Mini Album

This is the first ever mini album that I have put together over the weekend,  and this is the front of the book.

It is 5 1/2 inches square and all the edges of the five pages are scalloped.

The album and all the   "Bling" are from Want2Scrap and I really enjoyed putting this project together.

I have weaved  the beautiful white Grosgrain ribbon  from The Ribbon Room  through the slots in the front cover and added a pearl to cover the knot

But I wanted more pages for the inside and so I created some acetate pockets. (Photo  slots)

I lined the inside with paper so that a photograph could be added on either side of the pockets.

And then I add in a journalling page as well so that the details of each photo could be recorded.

So now there are ten pages to my mini album and lots of space for photos to be added in.

Everything in this album is hand made from
Making the Butterfly   (from left over flower petals) ... to the Decorated Hatpin on the front cover.

And both of those are shown in   Video Tutorials ... just click the links
Even  the beaded decoration on the back, and the one attached to the spine of the album are created by me.

I have added glitter to the edges of each page then glued some lace onto two of them.

There are Diamante and pearly swirls throughout the pages and the whole effect is very pretty and feminine.

I have made this for the recipient to  add in some baby photos for her to treasure in the coming years

Hugs xx.

Baby Boy Card

In all the mess that was my craft room yesterday I managed to produce this very pretty "Bookatrix"  Card.

This is using one of the Embossing boards from the Glitter Girls  and is one of many that they have created.

I have added in some very pretty silver mesh to one of the layers and I bought the Teddy Bear from the craft show I went to earlier this year but  I can't remember who it was from.

I have added Googly eyes to the face,  a bow around the neck, and small black pearls for buttons

The beautiful Baby Ribbon has tiny baby feet on it and it  is from   The Ribbon Room

You can find it in the  Little Ones section and it is in Pink as well as Blue.

I have used all the Book pages and layered them together with foam pads for height.

I have edged the top page with Diamante which  is from Want2Scrap

And the finished book can be added to a Card Stand  and popped inside a box to give to the recipient.

Decorate the box in the same way and it will make a very pretty "Keepsake"
