These two cards have been created with water colours and trying to follow one of Shayda Campbells tutorials.
One is to create a panel that has then ben fussy cut out to add to the front
I have used foam pads to add this and a gold Happy Birthday sentiment.

I have also used little gold dots to surround the flower.
They have been adhered to an embossed panel for more decoration and I am not too unhappy with the end result and this is an A6 card.

The panel has been layered onto some black card to make it stand out and the base card has had a black freehand line drawn around the edge.
The flowers are just loosely drawn in the water colour paint and then splattered in the left over colour.
I cut the panel out using a stitched edge die and then cut the remaining flowers free hand to add to the front with foam pads.
The sentiment for both has been stamped onto parchment and heat embossed in gold
I have enjoyed the process with the water colours but I have a log way to go yet to improve my technique.
Bye for now ...
Hugs xx

Hello Christina, the first first card with the fussy cut panel is my favourite today. I’m away from home at the moment so missing crafting but it’s great to see what you are doing!

Christina, love the water colours, but I'd be useless at the black lines around the flowers and the freehand lined card. My fav as you have prob guessed it the 2nd card. Do like the 1st one also. Mags Wilkie x
ReplyDeleteLovely cards. It’s great to see so many different styles and is good for checking back on when inspiration is lacking. Thanks. Janet Boyne
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina and all that visit today. I love these water colour cards you have been showing us. They are lovely. But unfortunately it not my kind of craft. The young lady you have been watching makes this look so easy. And I can see how crafters get hooked just by watching her. Thankyou Christina for showing us another kind of craft. Hope Ruby is in the mend.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well 🙏 Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.
These are both so beautiful.
