This is another tutorial that has been around for some time ... but it's not quite as messy as yesterdays idea.
The Rolling Marble Technique is another fun effect to add to your cards and it goes particularly well with those that you create for boys.
Vary the colours of the alcohol inks if you want a more feminine look and roll the marbles more or less to give another take on things.
The white buttons have been coloured with Promarkers to match the scheme of the card, and threaded with a bit of string.
Hugs xx
I just got back from a little vacation, so am catching up and see you've been gone, too. I'm enjoying all the novelty cards. I wasn't sure I was on the right URL when I saw this, but finally figured out I was. I've been to Edinburgh, too, and remember the cannon and everyone watching their watches, adjusting the time as needed. It sounds like you had a great time. Walking straight through your shoe pretty much says it all. I'm glad your film crew finally got his own duds. Isn't that in his contract or something? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't done this for a while. My 4-year old niece (a budding cardmaker) will love doing this the next time she visits.
ReplyDeleteWhat a simple yet very effective idea. Thank you for sharing it with everyone.

Hello Christina, have enjoyed the "fun" cards, but can't wait to see some more elegant cards.I am glad you had a great time in Scotland...my husband says we have to go! I have been very busy while you were gone, busy adding to my collection that is. I have purchased all the Spectrum Noir markers(the six packs) & have added 15 more sets of the Spellbinders. We have a JoAnn in our area and all the Spellbinders were 50% off...could not believe it. Can't wait to try all my lot out! I owe you another Thank You! for putting me on to Crafters Companion they are so kind. Sidebar, I won a prize of a free Ultimate Tool, they said it was a 60 dollar value...how about that! You are the awesomeest cardmaker ever! I can't believe how much I am in LOVE with card making. Love/hugs your way from Parma IDaho USA.....Annie (Annielovescardmaking)
