Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

May 03, 2017

I Know .. I Know ...

Hi Everybody,

I know it's not Christmas but this image is one that has been sitting on my desk and so I thought I would add a little water colour to her and make her into a card.

I have used some of the card stack that I bought from the £££shop as a layer on both of the base cards

The background to my image is created with a light water colour wash and then the stars added with a stencil and embossing paste
The bears have been coloured with Gansai Tambi water colours and then I added glue pen and glitter to the hats and stocking tops

The one on the left is slightly different colours for bear, mouse and background but the stars are done the same way.

On both of the card bases I rounded two opposite corners.

Both panels are cut with a stitched border die from the Stitched and Pierced Collection  from Craft Stash and there are lots of shapes for you to choose from

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

You're forgiven as these are so cute. I love them! I have to say you're not the first as one of the other bloggers I follow has been posting Christmas cards!! The speed this year is going it'll soon be here anyway so perhaps we should all make our cards now to get on top of it all lol.

  15. I love both cards..soooo cute! Anyone who's a crafter knows that Christmas is anytime of year. :) Every year I tell my family that I'm going to start on my Christmas cards in March and every year I'm frantically trying to make them in Nov. and Dec. lol One of these days, though...
For those who are enjoying cool weather I wish you could share it with me. I live in Tallahassee, Florida, and would love some really chilly weather right now.
Thanks, Christina, for the inspiration and (maybe) nudge to get me started on my cards.

  16. Love these cards and cute images. I belong to a card group that meet almost every Friday morning except in the winter months. We make 3 cards and 1 is always a Christmas card.
