This link will take you to all the products that are in the Summer Sale
This one has been designed by me and is ready for Christmas and has a beautiful array of dies stamps an papers to go with it .... amongst other things that are inside the box.
The little booklet that comes inside the box is full of ideas from myself and other designers and is sure to give you some lovely ways in which you can use the items.
Once you start to play I am sure that you can come up with many many more.
The Papercraft Society box comes out every month and the designer is someone new each month. Each has a different theme and it is based on the individual designers thoughts and ideas so it will always be unique.
It can be purchased on a subscription basis and the longer you take out the subscription for the cheaper it becomes. So choose the monthly, three monthly or the yearly option to be sure of getting your box delivered to your door each time.
To get this box you need to have subscribed before the 21st September.
After that date you will be in line for the next designer and their beautiful box.
This is going to be a lovely day ... according to the weather forecast and Ruby and I will be out there later in the sunshine for our walk. I hope you are having a good weekend wherever you are. Even if you are staying home and crafting all day.
I have done the draw good and early today and this will be the first week that I give away one of the Glue Pins along with the magazine. So I hope you will like it and make the most of it in your glue bottles.
The only problem is that I am not sure if the pins are stainless steel.
But I am new to this so please be patient and if it should go rusty then please please let me know and I will change the pins I am using.
On to the winner this week ...
Ann Topp
Would you please email me your postal address to christina@card-making-magic.com and I will get the pack ready to send to you.
This is the gift that was offered a few weeks ago and sadly it was not claimed ... so here it is again and hopefully this time it will find a new home.
It is a very pretty die and stamp set and it comes complete with the magazine that is full of ideas and inspiration.
If this is something that you think you would like to have in your crafty kit then all you need to do is leave me a comment.
The comment must have your FULL NAME added to it or it will not be entered into the draw. The draw will be open all day Saturday and the winner will be shown in a blog post on Sunday. You must be sure to come back and check if it is your name that is shown and then you will have 72 hours in which to claim it.
If it is not claimed in that time span then it will be removed and offered again at a later date. To claim the prize you will need to email me
christina@card-making-magic.com
Please do not add your personal details to a blog comment as the whole world and his wife will be able to see it and I cannot be held responsible for any consequences if you do.
I cannot remember if I added this when it first came out and if I did then my apologies.
But if I didn't then here is a lovely effect using the Butterflies and Lace Collection.
This card base is created using the three part layering die that was introduced a while ago and for this one I made an Ombre effect with Distress Oxide Inks.
I added a pearl to each body line and the effect is lovely.
A different look can be achieved each time with other colours.
It is fun to also add a glitter card, or mirror card to the background
Then using the other elements in the collection you can alter the whole card once more.
There is such a lot that can be done with this set of dies and once you start to play you will find many more.
The video is not long but it may give you some ideas on how to use the die sets if you purchased them when they were launched.
I was going to do some filming yesterday but it was absolutely teeming down and the rain beats so hard on the glass sky lights in my craft room I couldn't hear myself think. So I gave it up as a bad job and will aim for another day instead
But I was busy making glue bottle pins and I now have six to give away.
So if you are already a beader then be kind if you should get one, they may not be to your standards
I am enjoying making them but I am very new to this and I don't profess to be a jewellery maker by any stretch of the imagination.
I did a video eleven years ago on decorating hatpins and would you believe it has had 25000 views.
So I think it maybe time to re-new that video and bring it up to date.
I also made some little Angel pins to add to a journal or scrapbook page. Or maybe add it to a lapel.
You could also use them to add to any card that you make
There is no other decoration on them as I didn't finish them as glue bottle pins.
But they are just a pretty little Angel wishing you all the very best from me.
Trends come and go and some of them are really useful and stick around for quite some time. And look pretty at the same time
At present glue bottle pins are all the go and I think they are a useful item to have. Whenever I take the pin out of my bottle I lose it in amongst all the debris on my work surface.
Or I simply forget to put it back and the glue dries up and the tip clogs up.
I swear I can clog up any tip even those that say they are non clog. I don't know how I do it but I do ... every time.
So maybe these will help me and they are easier to find on my desk than just the pin.
But rather than buy them I decided to make my own as I have so many beads and wires, spacer beards and bead caps, it seemed silly not to.
I made one for each of my bottles and I have some left over for future bottles.
I added charms, beaded strings, glass beads and beautiful end caps to them for effect. And I have so many of these items left that I can make these pins for the next hundred years.
At the moment I have lots of silver but I will get some more gold stuff and then as I make more I will give them away to each Friday Freebie winner as an added bonus.
Hope you are all having a good weekend. It has been the air show here this weekend and this after noon has been fin and dry. But this morning while Ruby and I where out walking it poured down and we both got soaked.
It was good to get home and dry again and at least Ruby settles after she has had a walk. Tomorrow she is at playschool and that tires her out when she runs around with all her doggy friends.
But for not the draw has been done and if you didn't leave your FULL NAME then it won't be you.
The name this week is
Janet Boyne
so if you would email me with your postal address to ... christina@card-making-magic.com then I will get the set in the post to your straight away.
Please be sure to let me know when you receive it and I hope you enjoy playing with it.
Here is another chance for you to win this beautiful Sun Flower die set from Card Making Magic that comes with Die Cutting Essentials magazine.
The magazine will give you lots of ideas on how to get the best from this die set and is always a good way to while away a few hours with your favourite cuppa.
So if this is something that you would like to have in your stash than all you need to do is leave me a comment at the end of the post with your FULL NAME
It doesn't matter if you have won in the past, and I am happy to send the prize to you wherever you live at my expense so be sure to add your comment and your name to the end of the post.
Be sure to come back over the weekend to see if you are the winner and then you have 72 hours in which to claim the prize.
Todays card is with red and white and I have created a heart for the centre of the design. Can you see the little Ladybirds on the heart ?
These are some that I have had for a long time and I sued them on several cards years ago, These are those that I have left and I have still more that I can use yet.
The Simply Dots background is created with an embossing folder and I have used some coloured stems from AnnaMarie Designs to add to the heart.
I have quite a few of these coloured stems in other colours and I have used them with Wax Seals on some cards.
I will film the process and show you the cards once they are made and they are very girly.
I bought some decorative molds to use with the clay and I enjoyed playing with them. But they have now sat in a cupboard for quite some time and never ben used.
So I thought it may be a good idea to see if they could be used with the wax melts beads that I have got and the answer is YES !!! they do.
I used the Angel Wings mold and I was very pleased with the result. And I thought of lots of ways in which I could use them on my cards.
They make a beautiful addition to a new baby card as they are surely angels come back to earth.
I made some in pink and even more in a blue for a baby boy.
You can of course make them any colour you would like, and the silicone mold is so cheap to buy. It will last you for ever.
I did get some molds at the time that would make little picture frames and corners that could be added to a card but I have yet to find them.
They are in a tin somewhere ... I just don't know where ... yet !!
I also thought that the wings could be used to effect on a sympathy card and I kept the colours very muted for this one.
It is a DL card and I have embossed the background then matted and layered the white and navy blue togehter.
I know we don't like to make sympathy cards but at least this one is pretty as well as practical.
