My little corner of Blogland where I can share my creations with you. There are many video tutorials as well as links to good quality websites for all your crafting needs.
Todays card is crated from the Fleur card by Anna Marie Designs and this is one I have used a lot.
It comes in many different colours and is really good quality and thick so makes an excellent card base.
For this card I have cut it into panels and added them to some white card
. They have then been added to the base with foam tape to raise them up.
It was part of a video I did a while agon now that mixed up patterns from the same colour family to create many cards
And in case you missed it , or you are new to card making, I will add it here again.
If you are purchasing any of the items that are listed then please consider going through the links at the end of this post, or on YouTube, as this means I get a small commission at no extra cost to you.
This means that I can bring you more articles , videos and blog posts.
Today I am using an older die set and this was part of the Designer Card Front Collection released some time ago now.
I did several videos using these sets and thought it was time to ad another to the mix.
The colour scheme is not my usual and I must admit that I do not use orange or yellow very much.
But I do like these cards and they look much prettier in the hand.
I used a mixture of flowers and leaves on them from foam ones that I made myself to silk ones that I bought ages ago.
This card to the left is a Gatefold created from the die set and I used the border die to produce the Belly Band just to add a little difference to the design.
I hope you enjoy the video, it is long enough for you to have a cuppa with it ... and don't forget the biscuits too
Today's card and video are featuring the A5 size and once more I have used the stencil.
I have kept the colour scheme to the paler tones and teamed it with white and this makes for a really fresh and clean look.
I have created a shaped card using the largest of the dies to make the base and added layers for depth.
But to get the most from any dies that you may buy consider cutting into them to alter the size and create another look for your design.
Or simply use the smaller elements from a die set to create a smaller version of the card as I have done with this card adding them to a DL card for a change.
These cards have used a different stencil for each one but either will give you a fantastic look for your background whichever you use just by changing the colours that you use.
I have yet to do the videos with a masculine theme but it is on the way I promise.
And for that one I will use more masculine colours and NO flowers !!
Hi Everybody, At present at Craft Stash website there's a special offer going on for the All Occasions Collection.
This set of dies are an addition to your core sets and will build on all of the previous collections that I have, so if you enjoy layering your designs as much as I do then this will right up your street.
I also have some videos that you may like to view and they were originally shown on the Facebook Live that I did a few weeks ago.
I have also shared how I created the flower for my card using the smaller circles in the set.
Here is one of those videos for those who couldn't join in with Facebook, and for this one I have used the circles to create a really pretty card.
Just time for a brew as you watch
I hope you enjoy it and I will add the other video tomorrow using another set of the dies to create my card and I will make it in a different style.
This is my favourite size of card to make and I like to keep the fold at the top as it helps the card to stand better.
For this one I have used Autumn colours and they have all been coloured by me using Alcohol Inks and Isopropyl and I have a video showing how I did that a long time ago.
I have also used Kraft Card, and this is not something I use often, and it is a very useful addition to any stash. It is a cheap and cheerful card that can suit make of female designs.
So this is the video that I added to Facebook Live last Friday and I am adding it here to compliment the Elegant Nestables series that I have done and just in case you missed it
Whichever set you purchase you are sure to be delighted with it as it will make the most beautiful cards for you, and should you buy two ... or more ... then remember that they will work alone or combined to get even more for your money.
Todays video uses the A5 and the DL sets from the new Elegant Nestables Collection and in this one I have used the sets separately and then combined the two for another look.
Each one is a petty card in it's own right and I have used a lovely grey and white colour scheme for all three.
I have shown you a way to always have the colour card you need by using inks direct to white card and I have used the Distress Oxides to get my card. Now I know I can always have the card I want whatever I do on my designs.
In one of the cards I have used a pop of colour also to add a difference to the the look and I am really pleased with all the cards.
This A2 card is from the new collection and it creates an American A2 sized card. This is their preferred size as it keeps the postage down.
For the one shown I have added the die cut to an A2 base but in the video I have also added one to a 5x7 card as that is my favourite size to make.
All the cards are created in turquoise and a mat gold card that I got from Craft Stash. The little piece of gingham card shown here is some that I have had for a long time
The ribbon I have also had for some time but it fitted into the slots just right and so that is why I used it on this card.
Once again I hope you enjoy the video and I will be adding more using this collection.
This lovely collection is on a special 30% off discount with Craft Stash at present and there are four designs to choose from, along with stamps to compliment the card
This offer wont be around for long so take a look while you can
For this one I have used the Sunflowers and kept the card really simple with just a little bit of inking to enhance the flowers.
The vidoe will show you how I got this look and it is really easy to do and no colouring skills are needed.
And although they are sunflowers I have done one in another colour to ring the changes.
The vidoe is only eight minutes long but I hope you will enjoy it just the same.
Craft Stash are doing a special offer on the Octagon Box that was brought out earlier. This creates beautiful shaped boxes for you and there is also a die set that will create a card to use separately or can be fitted inside the box.
I also did a video that will show you how I made a taller version of the box that will take many different items that you may like to add. I adapted mine to include pull out shelves and I added chocolates to them as a really special gift.
The offer is for today only and so now is the chance to grab this offer while you can ...
Todays video features three cards that are all different sizes. It is the video that was shown on Facebook Live and I am adding it here in case you missed the show.
The card shown has baubles that have been stencilled, cut out with the dies, and added onto the front of it with foam pads, but the paper pack is a dream if colouring is not your things.
Just use the dies to cut the Baubles out and add them how you would like to your projects. Other videos will show you how they have been jazzed up to a more glitzy look.
Creating the baubles in different colours can ring in the changes too, and if you flip the round ones upside down they make fantastic balloons for a birthday theme.
There is a lot that can be done to alter the look of your Beautiful Baubles all you need to do is play with them and see what you can come with.
When I did the Christmas in July video for Craft Stash it was very well received but I added the gold embossed baubles to a card front.
But for this idea I decided to turn them into tree decorations and use gold thread to hang them from the branches.
They would look lovely on a small tree as they are not too big, and they are easy to make at the same time.
This is the video that was shown on Facebook Live so if you missed that show then here is the opportunity for you to see it and maybe give it a try for your self.
The work is mostly done for you using the paper pack and the dies, but additional decoration can be added with the stamps and the stencils too.
Vary the look by using silver embossing powder or coloured powder to make your baubles look really individual. I have also added gemstones and pearls to some of mine.
The video is not too long just long enough for your to enjoy a cuppa and relax for a while and I hope you enjoy watching it.
Todays is another video with the Butterfly Trials Collection. These are also shaped cards but these have the join at the top of the wings and not the side fold pones from last week.
They are also the ones that where created on the Facebook Live earlier this month and I have added this video here so that you don't miss out in case you missed that show.
I hope you enjoy the video with another way to use the dies
There are still lots more ideas on how to get the most from this beautiful and versatile die set and if you purchased it then I hope you have enjoyed playing with it as much as I have
I am really enjoying playing with the Butterfly Trails Collection as there is so much that can be done with it to give you cards of all shapes.
They will suit any gender and any occasion too so lots of ways to play with them.
In this video I will show you how I created the panel card and I have made four cards in the video to give you some ideas of how I used them.
And I am happy to say that they seem to be going down very well on my YouTube Channel.
The paper pack that I am using is one that was released with the Pretty Books Collection and it is lovely. The papers are quite thick and good quality and they go really well with the butterflies. and I am sure many other collections too.
I hope you enjoy this video and the cards that I have created in it, and I have added all the videos that I have done with this collection to a playlist called
Todays card is another way to use the Butterfly Trails Collection and this is a quick and easy card to recreate that gives a clean and simple look to your designs.
The video is not long but it is easy to follow and the results are really pretty, and I hope you enjoy the video.
Once again I have used the paper pack that came out with the Pretty Books Collection but it fits so well with the shape of these wings I couldn't resist using it again.
I have another video coming on Wednesday with yet another way to use these dies and stamps and they are all in a playlist on YouTube for you to enjoy
These cards would even suit cards for men too. Make the colours more masculine and leave out the flowers and there you go.
This is the new collection that has been seen on Create and Craft and the one that Lou Collins and I launched on Facebook Live last Friday
I shared two videos with you then and there are lots of things that can be done with this new die set as well as the sentiment dies and stamps that are part of the collection.
The card shown here is the 5x7 size and the butterfly that this produces is the taller and slimmer version.
But they work in the same way and whatever technique is shown for one can be achieved with the other.
In this video I show you how to make both styled of the Gatefold Card using the dies and each one is a lovely card
This pink card is the 6x6 and is a wider butterfly than the other.
But whichever you decide to use you will create a really special card for any occasion.
I have more videos done using this set and each one will show you a different way to get the look you want.
So I hope you will come back and take a look for the next one that will be with you soon.
When I was on Facebook Live last Friday I showed some of the ways that I have folded the cards from the one card die and I promised I would make a little information video to refresh your memory should you have forgotten, or even missed the show.
I haven't made a card in the short tutorial, but instead shown the different ways of folding your card.
I showed some samples on Friday, this Gate fold was one of them, and some other styles on Monday.
In the video there are lots more that you may like to try.
They will all fit into the box or envelope that can be made from the die set, with the exception of the Bridge card.
Although that folds flat it will need a bigger envelope to post it.
Still I hope you will enjoy these ideas and maybe try some for yourself especially if you are new to card making.
Over the next few weeks I will make a card from each one of the styles and show you the end result. Plus some of the other items in this new collection that I really enjoyed playing with.
