Peachy Rabbit ...

Hi Everybody,

Peach is a lovely colour to use for card making as it is soft and warm.

Here I have used it for a pretty floral card with a water coloured Bo Bunny rabbit as the focal point.

I have coloured her with Gansai Tambi paints and added in flowers that blend with my theme

It was relaxing it to do some water colouring and I quite like the card too.

I used a white Sakura gel pen to add polka dots to her dress, but they don't show up very well on the photograph

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts along with the bows centre piece. I have sparkled the petals with Glitter Magic  The organza ribbon is from Mei Flower

I have had the stamp for a long time and if my memory serves me correctly it was free with a magazine many moons ago.

Water Colour Wednesday - Baby Fairies

Hi Everybody,

This cute little image is from Mos Digital Pencil and is one of the Baby Fairies.

Once you have bought this you can  instantly download it to your PC  ... so no waiting for the postman to deliver it, and you can use it time and time. again, varying the sizes on your PC if you wish

This has been water coloured with Gansai Tambi and then I used Spectrum Noir Pencils for some of the highlights.

I made a sky background behind the fairy and cut it all out with the oval shape

The sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed onto parchment and then wrapped around the card front.

I added in the diamante flourish for a little decoration.

Then I added in some gold paint to the wings and that for me spoiled the image and I wish I had just left it alone   Of dear !! never mind I can have fun doing it all over again ... or I could simply cut the wings off !!

New Water Colors ..

Hi Everybody,

Once again it has been playtime in my craft room and I absolutely love this little card and for this I have used yet more new water colors.
These are the boxed  Japanese Gansai Tambi Water Color Paints
These paints are rich and creamy and full of pigment to make the colours vibrant and easy to work
I do not profess to be an artist and I can't draw for toffee ...  but do you know I had so much pleasure from coloring this image that I don't care if it's right or wrong.

I am sure that there are many many mistakes on it but I love it and I think that some child would be thrilled to get this as a Birthday card.

All I am trying to do is encourage you to give things a try.

I bet some of you have water colours and they sit in the drawer never seeing the light of day

Why not pop over to the website and see how I coloured in this card  using the
then get out your paints and color along with me

Organising Peerless Water Colours

Hi Everybody,

Water colouring is something that I have started to enjoy doing and I have some Peerless Water Colours that come in swatches

They came in a little organza bag from Jane Davenport  and they are beautiful colours

But I don't want to have to go through all of them each and every time I want to paint and so they needed organising.

I bought an inexpensive plastic book that has pockets inside and I set about storing all my swatches in colour order.  This doesn't have to be complicated but it will take you a little bit of time to do it ... but believe me it will be worth while once the job is done.

I thought it would be better to show you what I did rather than simply tell you and now I can reach for them whenever I want to paint.

I will be adding some videos with these particular paints and hopefully giving you some ideas on how to use them.

So if you have water colours then maybe it is time to get them out for a little practise together and we can create some really pretty cards

Cute Bunny ...

Hi Everybody,

How cute is this image and it has been coloured with Gansai Tambi water colours.

I added the stripes to the shirt with a white gel pen and the background is created freehand with the paints.

The flower and the patches have been sparkled with the Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen.

The fence and  the birds free hand drawn with a black fine liner to add a little more to my scene

I really enjoyed colouring this one and it took me ages to finish the card.

I added it all to a piece of white craft foam and then layered it onto the base which is a top folded card

This would be ideal for a childs birthday and I will be playing some more with these lovely water colours ... and doing some videos too.

Don't forget to add your name to the  Seasons Giving Blog  list if you would like to win some "Goodies"

Pretty Girl ...

Hi Everybody,

This pretty card is created with watercolours and I have used once again the Japanese Gansai Tambi paints.

The more I play with these the more I like them and all thirty six of the colours are very vivid and creamy.

The  digital image is from Saturated Canary and there are lots of really cute images for you to choose from ... you will be spoilt for choice

This one I have dressed with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts  and matched them to the colour scheme of my card. The pearls are self adhesive from Want2Scrap

The background to the card is the embossing folder Shady Allure  and I have inked over the raised pattern

The card itself is created with 5x7 Matting Basics A and B and is much prettier in the hand

The sentiment is from the Phrases One  set by Spellbinders and I have cut it from card and craft foam to give it height.

Gansai Tambi Water Colours

Hi Everybody,

The card today is a complete change from Christmas and it is one I really enjoyed water colouring.

I used the Japanese  Gansai Tambi  water colours from  Kuretake  and they are amazing.

This is another Christmas present from ME to ME and I was so surprised when they came in the post. !!  Honest I was !!

They are so creamy and the colours are very vibrant. A little goes along way so use them sparingly

There are 36 pans in the set that I bought with some lovely colours that can be used as pastls by adding in more water.

In this set there is  a Pure White, Gold, Bronze and Pearl and they sit at the bottom of the display

They can be mixed with any colour to give a really pretty look and of course you can mix any of them to create your own colours in a separate palette

The images is called  Big Shoes   from Mos Digital Pencil and  will cost  you $3 which is about £1.75.

It is with you instantly so with no postage costs I would call that a bargain.  Save it to your PC and you can use it time and time again.

I really enjoyed playing with these images and paints and I will be doing a lot more. I find it so relaxing to sit and colour with whatever medium I happen to have in hand
