Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

June 11, 2018

All You Need is ....

Hi Everybody,

Today's card has combined dies from Crafti Potential and Spellbinders and the brick stencil from Craft Stash.

The result is a pretty simple card and you could add any word you wanted to the design to suit the recipient and the occasion.

With the stencil I inked the pattern and then I embossed it in the die cutting machine to impress the pattern into the card for a lovely effect.

I matted it onto some Kraft card to enhance the brickwork and added the flowers with foam pads underneath

Dot with a few pearls and the card is finished.
Quick, easy, clean & simple !!

I have added some Ink Smooshing and then die cut the flowers for a really loose water coloured look

The video will show you how to get the effect and it is really easy to do.
With Distress Oxides you can deepen the colour to the layers without it going muddy but be sure to dry it between each one.

Crafti Word - Amazing

Hi Everybody

Today's card is using another of the word dies from Crafti Potential.

These dies are in two parts and I have cut my base in Vellum for this card,  and each of the letters cut separately.

They are large enough to make a really neat focal point for your cards.

The word is also in stamp form and for the card to the left I have stamped it onto some patterned paper and then used the die to cut it out.

And the accompanying sentiments means you can personalise it to suit the recipient.

I have used items from my own Card Making Magic Collection and the two designs play really well together.

Spellbinders Rosy Summer Flowers

Hi Everybody,

Today's card is using one of the new dies from Spellbinders and this one is called Rosy Summer Flowers from the Good Vibes Collection by Stephanie Low

For the background I have blended three different shades of green and then stencilled over the top with white ink.

This gives a really cool and subtle look to the card and makes the white of the flowers stand out more.

It was a really quick and simple card to make and the black sentiment adds drama to the front.

I added the long stamped sentiment underneath with foam tape and that is from the Crafti Potential Words dies

Radiant Butterflies

Hi Everybody,

A few weeks ago I told you about a free gift from Card Making Magic that was free with Die Cutting Essentials 37 Magazine

Here is another card from that same die set and it is one that I have really enjoyed playing with.

For all the cards I stayed with the same colour scheme and it is a rich purple, blue and green.

Here I have simply stamped the butterflies in those colours and then cut out the pattern with  the die.

Here is the link to the video again to refresh your memory ... Radiant Butterflies  and I hope you enjoy it as much as you did the first time it was added.

You can still get the magazine with the free gift from Craft Stash at this link ...
and you can purchase the stamp set to match here ...

Crafti Potential Words - Wishes

Hi Everybody,

I wanted to share with you some of the new dies from Crafti Potential and the ways in which you can use it.

There are 12 different words and lots of additional sentiments in each set for you to personalise your own designs.

Each word is big enough to make a statement on your cards  and yet the letters are separate.

But because you are adding them to a backing piece there can be no mistake about where each one goes.

I love to use large words as my focal point and I add them to a Vellum back for a cool effect.
