Cards for your friend ...

Hi Everybody,

I have used the JustRite matching Labels 29 stamp set for this card and it is such a lovely verse.

I have heat embossed it in silver and set it into a recess which has then been framed. I added another frame on top of the fancy one with foam pad.

The flowers are from  Wild Orchid Crafts  and are a mixture of Roses, Carnations, Rosebuds and some that I have layered up myself and added the gemstone to the centre.

The Glamour Dust makes them sparkle and I have added  larger pearls around the petals.

This card is so much nicer in real life and it is one I  added to Etsy and it sold within 30minutes.

If you like to add flowers to your creations then you are going to love this weekends "Give Away"

The prize has been donated by Paul and Siri from Wild Orchid Crafts and it is fantastic.

So I hope you will add your name to the list .... but not till Saturday ... so be patient ... you won't be disappointed

More tomorrow ...

Some of those "Goodies" ...

Hi Everybody,

Here are a couple of cards made using some of the GNPE "Goodies" that I bought.

Both of them have been made the same way using the Hinged Card Style

I find using this method, which gives me the fold at the top,  allows me to use more of the card in the portrait orientation.

So all I have done is double embossed the background with the "Wow" embossing powders.

Once the heat embossing is done I have dry embossed it in the Regency Swirls embossing folder from Crafters Companion .

I wrapped the ribbon around the panel and then added it to the front.

The sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed in silver and added with foam tape to the card using   Fancy Tags Three
But the centres of the bows have been filled with the gorgeous Diamante and Pearl embellishments that where a bargain buy.

They where once a bracelet from Primark and they had eight of these lovely sparkly bits in them

They cost me £3.00  but worked out at just 37 pence for each one and so I don't mind adding them  to a card.

The sentiment ifs from the JustRite Large Fancy Sentiments stamp set.
I have used the Letterpress technique with the embossing powders on both of these cards and I am happy with the simple look that they have.

I have a really good "Give Away" going live this weekend and you are going to love what is on offer.

So pop back on Saturday and add your name for the chance to win some beautiful  flowers from
 Wild Orchid Crafts

Spellbinders Class ...

Hi Everybody,

The new class for Spellbinders is now available with The Art Studio.

This is the third one that I have done and if you have been following along with the other two then this class uses the dies that we have already used.  I know they are expensive and this is to help us get as much from the dies as we can.

Combining Spellbinders     features two cards and of course you can make them any color that you wish.

So I hope you will join me in the Lesson which is Part Three of Beautiful Cards with Spellbinders.

Pretty in Blue ...

Hi Everybody,

This lovely Cornflower Blue card is made to the Hinged Card Style  and is one that I have added to my Etsy Shop.

The white background to the card is a new die called Exquisite Labels Eleven and I bought mine from Sunrise  Crafts  and it is beautiful

I have topped it with the plain Labels Eleven and intertwined it with Twisted Metal Tags.

The pearls are from Want2Scrap
The inside has been decorated too and the Diamante buckles are some that I bought from the GNPE and they are from    The Hobby House

The lovely wide striped Grosgrain ribbon was also form the craft show but I cannot for the life of me remember which  stall I got it from.

I love this fresh clean blue and  white combination and it would be suitable for any occasion.

New Video ...

Hi Everybody,

This is  the card I showed you the other day and as promised I have now added the video tutorial for it to the website.

Heirloom Ornament 2010  is very easy  and the finished card is very effective.

You can use up all your bits of left over glitters and fill which ever space of your pattern that you like.

And if you don't have the same Quatrefoil Pattern that I have used then you can substitute it with one that you do have.

But for those  of you that don't have any Spellbinders ... well fear not ...  I am going to show you how to get this look with out them.

Watch this space it's coming soon.

And to ring the changes a little more then all you have to do is turn the whole finished decoration upside down.

It then looks like another bauble on your cards.

The letters are from the Font One Uppercase and Lowercase but the uppercase won't show up

The flowers are as always from Wild Orchid Crafts

The flourish is from Want2Scrap   and completes this very pretty card.
