Believe ...

Hi Everybody,

This is a small card created using the A2 matting basics from Spellbinders.

I have added in the list of dies at then end of the post and it was a very quick card to make.

The ribbon is from my "Stash" and so I can't remember who made it ... I just know it was some that I got at a Craft show.

The flowers and the bows centre are both from Wild Orchid Crafts

The little round sentiment is from
Lili of the Valley and I have stamped it in Aged Mahogany and embossed it in clear powder

It is a sentiment that I have used many many times as it says so much

So altogether a quick and simple card that would suit many occasions.

Making Poppies ...

Hi Everybody,

Here as promised is the first of the Create a Flower Tutorials and this one uses the die that sold out first  when I showed it on  Create and Craft TV

The making of the flower is slightly different to the one I made on live TV as  I didn't have to worry about time running away with me.

The poppy was so popular and it makes the most beautiful flowers.

The card I am using is  the Christmas Red 270 gsm from Papermill Direct  and it is a good sturdy card that is ideal for either your base card or the flowers.

The video will take you step by step through the making of this flower and  there are probably many tutorials on how to do it  but this is just my way of making them

I have tried to keep the tutorial so that it is not too long and so I have stayed with the making of the flower and not made the complete card.

But it will give you some idea of how you may want to add the finished bloom to your projects

Today is my Card Class day but as soon as I can I will add another flower tutorial

Spellbinders Blossoms

Hi Everybody,

Todays card uses some of the older Blossoms dies from Spellbinders and I have made several  flowers of different sizes to add to my card.

I have made this one from silver and white with a touch of pink to the edges of the petals and the pretty silver butterflies are from my "Stash"

The labels Twenty has the matching "Bling" attached to it from Want2Scrap

The inside is decorated to compliment the front and I have added in a little pocket with a tag inside for a signature or greeting.

But on Create and Craft at the beginning of this month I showed all the new flower dies that have been added to Spellbinders collections

I promised to make a tutorial on each of the new dies showing how the parts go together and so later today my "Film Crew" is going to start filming the making of those flowers.

Then slowly over the next few weeks we will add every one to the website under the collective title of  "Create A Flower"  and these will be free tutorials for you to view at your leisure

Now talking of  tutorials ...  I have added the latest in the Spellbinders Tuition Series to the website and   Spellbinders Class 5   is now available to purchase.

Thank you to every one who bought the other four classes and I hope you will enjoy this one as much and they are available for you to watch 24/7

Please read the instructions carefully so that you will be able to view the tutorial again and again whenever you wish.

Pretty in blue ...

Hi Everybody,

This pretty card is created from a pale blue and layered up with several sets of dies from  Spellbinders.

I have used foam pads in between each layer to give more depth and I have inked through the oval layer with Faded Jeans Distress ink.

The pearls are from  Want2Scrap  and they surround the sentiment.  It is from a set that is made to fit the Labels Twenty die but who says that is the only way it can be used ??

The ribbon is from my "Stash" and the single flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts

The sentiment is from  JustRite Stampers   and contains many words that can be mixed and matched to say many things

Pretty Bows

Hi Everybody,

This week the ladies in my Card Class added some pretty bows to their cards and we used a 250 gsm card from the Papermill Direct  throughout

We used the  Sue Wilson Classic and Lattice 3-D bows and layered the two together

There is a whole selection of Sues' designs  available to you from   JGD Crafts

Both of these cards are lovely but once again they have gone for completely different color schemes

This time Mary has gone for the darker colors and Brenda has gone for the pale ones ... it's usually the other way round.

Mary has chosen the flowers that match the dots in the background paper and Brenda has gone for those that match the tiny bees on her paper.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts ... and don't forget that WOC have very kindly put together some starter packs which have flowers of  different sizes in them at a  really good price.

The flowers have been sparkled with Glitter Magic  to give an extra special look.

I think both cards look good and my ladies are doing really well with what they achieve each week.
