Beautiful Blue

Hi Everybody,

Just for a change I thought I would go for Blue and this is a very pretty shade.

I have layered it all up with the White Linen card from Papermill Direct   and there are several layers all  separated with foam  pads  to give the depth.

The back  has been embossed with the A4 folder called Basket Weave and I can't remember where it was from.

The blue filigree layer is from the new die set 5 x 7 Reflective Moments from Spellbinders.
The close up shows you a white embossed panel and this is one of the double sided  M-Bossabilities from Spellbinders called Infinity

I have added pearls from  Want2Scrap

The gingham ribbon is from  Mei Flower   and the buckle centre is from   The Hobby House

I have made several cards using this color scheme lately and over the next few days I will add them for you to see

More tomorrow ...

Purple Haze ...

Hi Everybody,

I found this lovely shade of purple ribbon in my "Stash" and of course it had to feature in a very pretty card.

I tied it into a triple bow and added one of my Primark pieces to the centre.

I also used one in the centre of the flower and so this is a very glitzy card.

I also found the fabric Dragon flies in my bit box and thought that they would look very pretty on the card too.

I added one to the top and one inside to compliment the design.
The dies I have used are from Sue Wilson and  I cannot add photos of the dies yet as they are relatively new ... but the collections are available from   JGD Crafts

I have used. Seville from the Spanish Collection for the back ground  and topped it with San Francisco from the Californian collection.

The card I use is from  Papermill Direct  and is the White Linen at 270 gsm.

It makes an excellent base for my designs and I use it for the layers too.

The sentiment is from Crafters Companion and is one from the Sentimentals Range

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts  sparkled up with fine glitter from Glitter Magic

The Diamante around the centre piece is from Want2Scrap  and it is the one that matches  Spellbinders Labels Twenty and it just happens to compliment this shape too.

Guess What ... It's Pink ...

Hi Everybody,

Here we are with another Sunday morning and the start of a new week.  I hope it is a good one for you all and for me it will be a busy one.

After my escapade yesterday at the non existent craft show I thought I would make some pretty cards.

Val H   wrote that at least it showed I was human making a mistake like that.

Yes I am certainly human.  and I  bleed too   'coz  as I was cutting a lovely Fish Tail  into this ribbon ... I continued the very neat V with some really sharp scissors .... in to my finger.

I  had to stop it  bleeding with  some  kitchen roll wrapped around it  ... held in place with a  bright green  elastic band   as I couldn't find anything else  in my first aid box.

This card is created once again from the Sue Wilson dies and for this I have used the background from the Spanish Collection with the Galicia die on the top.

The sentiment is from   Lili of the Valley  and there are several on the same stamp plate.

The pearl flourishes are from  Want2Scrap  and they are around the sentiment label

I have used  Glitter Magic  on the mixture of flowers from   Wild Orchid Crafts  and they have some beautiful new products in this month that are well worth a browse

S'me again ....

 Hi Everybody,

A few months ago I saw a really big advert in the card magazine that I subscribe to each month for a new Craft show that was coming to Liverpool for the first time.  Now as you know I enjoy going to these shows and seeing what is there  .... and I save  all  my pennies up for ages before hand

So I got up early this morning and did my blog post to announce the winner of the Friday Freebie Card and then we had breakfast and got ready to go to Liverpool.

We had a nice leisurely drive there  that took us just over and hour  and  we parked the card in the Albert Dock area and although it was cold we walked over the Echo Arena ... only to find out that the craft show had been ..... CANCELLED !!!!!!!!

So what I want to know is how I managed to miss the info,  that it had been cancelled,  that would have saved me a wasted journey.   The advert to say that this show was on the 8th -10th May was a full page  spread in my magazine .... and so surely the cancellation should have been the same size so that idiots like me  (and "Film Crew")   would be sure to see it

But I wasn't the only idiot  .... because  we stood chatting to a group of other people ... who were actually exhibitors,  and they had booked a hotel for the three days to attend the show and   they couldn't cancel the hotel when the venue was  cancelled.

And so they came to Liverpool for the weekend anyway so as not to loose their money on the hotel ... but they were not happy about it at all.

And now that  I am  back at home and checking my emails  I find  that I  have had several from some of you telling me that the show was cancelled  and not to go ..... TOO Late already been there ...  done that and got the T-Shirt.

Oh well not to worry there is always Reebok at the end of May and if anybody knows that has been cancelled then can you let me know so I don't trail all the way there as well.

We made the most of the day and had a good look around.   We went to Liverpool One and had a meal in the Sushi Bar before coming back home again in the pouring rain

Now I am going to get my PJ's on ... fix myself a nice glass of red wine and watch Britains Got Talent ... oh and by the way Kathryn has claimed the card she has won

More tomorrow from you friendly neighborhood idiot  ....

This one is for YOU .....

Hi Everybody,

Just a quick post for now as I am off to the Craft Show in Liverpool today.  It is new venue for me to visit but I am looking forward to seeing what is there.

My "Film Crew"  is adding the chauffeurs hat and driving us there and then we may stop of for a bite to eat on the way home.

But  last nights task was to put on the  "name chooser" hat for Griff to select a winner .... Man of many hats these days !!

It seems that quite a few of you like the color combination of yesterdays card and the big  bow that I added from the silky crush ribbon ....  but there is only one of those cards and the draw has been done to find it a new home.

The card can be on its way to you ...

Kathryn Bradfield

Please email me ....    christina@card-making-magic.com ..... with your postal address and I will pop it into the post for you straight away.  You have 48 hours to claim the card and please also let me know when it arrives

More tomorrow ...
