My little corner of Blogland where I can share my creations with you. There are many video tutorials as well as links to good quality websites for all your crafting needs.
On Friday I will be on Facebook Live with the lovely Lou Collins to show you some of the beautiful new dies that are now available from Card Making Magic
There will be some video tutorials for you to view but just to wet your appetite I am adding a new one here.
I have used the Time to Celebrate die set and I am amazed at the size of these dies.
They make fabulous shaped card bases or you can add them to a larger regular shaped card if you preferred.
The featured card shown above is the style created in the video, so I hope you will give it a try as it really is a lovely style to make. and the video will show you easily how to do it.
I hope you will be able to join me on Friday and add your comments to let me know that you are there.
I have just added a new video to YouTube but one of the dies is a secret so don't tell anybody. It's the large Heartfelt Thanks die and its not even for sale yet.
But this one and several other sentiment are on their way so please be patient and they will be with you soon.
The video will show you how I created this Gatefold Card and it's not a long film, but I hope you enjoy it just the same.
As soon as the dies become available I will let you know and add the links to show you what there is.
All the new dies are quite big and they will fit the tops to your boxes beautifully, as well as make statement points for your cards.
Today I am featuring another one of the new designs from Card Making Magic and this one is the Rambling Rose Channel Card that is available at Craft Stash
I have used the dies , stamps and stencil and my colour scheme is pink for all the cards
The video will give you three lovely ideas and I was particularly asked by one of my YouTubers to use this set ... so here it is
Non of them are hard to make and I hope you will give them all a try.
I have tried to include some useful tips as I go along too so I hope you will enjoy the video.
Recently I have been asked to do a video using the Snowdrop Channel and matching Stamps and I am happy to oblige.
The video is not long but it covers the making of two cards using the different elements to the die set.
Shown is one of them using the floral dies and for the other I have used the channel itself to crate the focal point.
Both will create a petty card that would suit many occasions but the Snowdrop is the first sign of Spring and so very appropriate at the beginning of February
Your Snowdrops don't have to be white though if you wanted another type of spring flowers.
It's your card and your world and you can do whatever you want with your designs.
Just have fun and enjoy everything while this lockdown continues
As promised I have now completed the video that shows how I made the style of vase shown from die cuts.
I have used the Pentagon Bauble Easel to make the shape and this one has been painted in Arteza Metallic Blue and then dry brushed with gold
But while I was making another vase I thought it would be a good idea to show all three sizes that can be had from the dies
And so this photos shows you all the sizes side by side.
I kept to one basic colour scheme for effect, and I gave them a coat of clear gloss varnish and let them dry.
They can all be displayed together as one collection, or kept individual for flowers.
They are not waterproof though so only add faux lowers to them .I know they won't be around for a lifetime and they are not going to become family heirlooms, but I had fun making them and they do look kind of pretty on my shelf
Slowly but surely I am trying to get back to normal and working my way though vidoes to showcase all the new dies I have brought to the market in the past few months.
The one featured here is the Parcels Filigree Frame and the video will show you how I created this card.
I have used Centura Pearl card for the base and layers, which is something I haven't used for a long time.
I like the different coloured parcels on my card and the foliage around it., and I now have quite a few cards ready to send at Christmas.
The video is not long but I hope you enjoy it just the same.
For this card I have used the Rose Filigree Frame set again as it just happens to be one of my favourite dies at present
I have added it to a square card base and for the background I have used a woodgrain stamp that I have had for quite some time.
I used lots of different shades of brown to stamp it out and that gives a sort of graduated look to the wood.
The flowers have been created with two shades of the same colour to add darkness to the centres.
I showed you in a video the other day how I did these and it is so .... easy peasy
The card can be for any occasion you like and I have added lots of flowers to mine, after shaping them a little with the ball tool., and I have also added some clear glitter pen to them as a little extra.
It looks quite a pretty card and I would be happy to get a card like this
This little card is created from the Round Bauble Easel Die Set but I have simply added to a card front instead of a complete easel card.
All the easel dies in this new co0llection can be used in the same way and it's up to you to ring the changes.
For the outside border I have cut the three snowflake die several times and just added it around the edge.
The making of this card has been shown in another video and if you wanted to skip forward to it it is at the 6 minute mark on the film.
It is one that has been added before but I will include it again as you may have missed it. It's not long but I hope you enjoy it anyway. Here it is ...
I shall try to add more videos from now on but just as a side note my meeting with the consultant wasn't very encouraging.
Today I am using the Snowflakes Oval die set and this is also a new one that is available at Craft Stash.
This die set will work beautifully with the Complete Oval Box and Card Die Set so that you can vary our creations.
This video is not long so I hope you will enjoy it.
It gives you tow ideas using the same colour card and the same die sets.
All my collections are available at Craft Stash.
There is a vast amount of items for you to choose from at Craft Stash for everything to do with any kind of crafting, you just need to have a good old mooch about the website to find what you want.
If your MoJo has gone walkabouts you will find inspiring ideas that you may like to try and if you are busy getting ready for Christmas then there is sure to be something that you would like
I feel like I am making a comeback and I am sorry for my absence. But many of you know why I have been away.
At long last I have a new video for you and this one features the Rose Filigree Frame from the new Festive Frames Collection.
I feel really out of touch with everything and I wish I could say that I am now sorted and fit.
I am back with the consultant this week and so maybe I will have something to report once I have spoken to him. Wish me luck !!
For now here is the card that I have created with the new dies and I have used a very inexpensive Kraft Card.
This is not something that I use often but it can produce some lovely designs is coupled with other colours. The video will show you how I made it and I think it is very effective.
I hope you enjoy the video and it's not very long.
Thank you for your patience with me over the last few months.
And I have used extra snowflakes from the Round Bauble to add interest to it also.
It is not in typical Christmas colours but it is very effective, and the back ground has been created with the Trellis embossing folder
I am going to try making a video today and see if my legs will keep me upright long enough and in this I will show you how to use the round bauble on its own.
So please join me tomorrow when hopefully it will be there for you to see.
