Die Cutting Essentials 60 (DCE60)

Hi Everybody,

The offer with this months Die Cutting essentials is a die and stamp set to help you make Waterfall Cards.

There are lots of ways to make these designs but in the video I show you the way I do them the way that works for me.

But if you have a way that works better for you then use that and the end result will be the same.

You can also use the other elements in the set for other card ideas and I have created a shaker card using the same dies

You will find lots more ideas in the magazine and it will be on sale tomorrow the 19th December.

It is a die that you can have some fun with and children will love the way it works so make sure it is strong enough to withstand the pulling action from them

Simply Cards & Papercraft 200 - Altenew Modern Anemone

Hi Everybody,

 This months copy of Simply Cards & Papercraft is a very special edition because it is the 200 copy since it came to the shops way back in November 2004. 

It has got better and better over the years and it is one of the magazines I first subscribed to at the start.

So this month you will get an Altenew Stamp and die set called Modern Anemone and the video will show you how I used it to make some really pretty cards.

You can also download some papers to go with the dies and stamps but I don't imagine this copy will last long on the shelves so you will need to be quick. Altenew is always a favourite and one that everybody wants to have.

I hope you enjoy the video and as I said in the film my hands have black acrylic on them and it won't wash off.  I will show you after Christmas what it is I have been doing with the glue and black paint and glitzy things I have been collecting as they are presents for my girls

Simply Cards & Papercraft 199 - Clearly Besotted Snowdrop

Hi Everybody,

This months Simply Cards & Papercraft will be in the shops tomorrow and Clearly Besotted are featured in the pack. 

Their stamp and die set also has a little embossing folder with it and it is really pretty.

This is one of the cards I have made and you will find more in the video that I have made to show you.

Clearly Besotted Snowdrop  is not too long but there are some pleasing designs in the video that you may like to copy.

Die Cutting Essentials 57- Memory Box Die Set

Hi Everybody,

I am adding a video today to tell you about this months edition of Die Cutting Essentials 57

The exclusive gift with the magazine is this lovely five piece die set from Memory Box

In the video I have shown you what all the individual dies will cut and there are lots of ways that they can be used.

The best thing to do is cut all the pieces out, from any new die that you get, and then play to see what looks good with what. Which die cut can be cut to give you another look ... what happens if you turn one round or even upside down.

There are many many ideas waiting for you to find them in all die cuts and at the end of the day it is only card and paper you are playing with. So enjoy the process and see what you can come up with.

Friday Freebie - Piece by Piece

If you have followed my blog for some time then you will know that my husband Griff was a very proud Welshman and one of the things that he wanted to do this summer was walk up Snowdon with Ruby our Cocker Spaniel

Sadly he died last November but this weekend, as a family we are all going to Wales to attempt that walk in his memory. There will be the combined families and five dogs so wish us luck.

Die Cutting Essentials 56 Festive Foliage

Hi Everybody,,

This months Die Cutting Essentials is on today the 5th September 2019 and has this pretty gift with it for you to use on your Christmas cards.

It is called Festive Foliage and it could be used all year round to add to your floral displays.

I have stayed with traditional Christmas colours of red green and gold for this card and although it doesn't look it the gold is a lovely shiny bright gold

But you could make this card for spring or summer and stay with pastel colours instead and it would look just as pretty. Pop it into a box to match for double the effect.

And don't forget that the gifts I show you each week, end up later being the Friday Freebies along with the card that is made.

Die Cutting Essentials 55 - Holly & Ivy

Hi Everybody,

Die Cutting Essentials will be on sale this Thursday the 15th August and to be sure of getting this gift you will need to be there early.

Why?? Because it is another fantastic die set from Card Making Magic and it is such a useful die you wont want to miss it.

Try the Bokeh technique for the background in an easy to do way with inks and a finger dauber.

Simply Cards & Papercraft 194 - Altenew Layered Poppy

Hi Everybody,

This months SC&P has a lovely layered Poppy as the exclusive git and this is from Altenew.

It will be on sale on the 25th July and Altenew stamps are always worth collecting and there is also a stencil with this one too.

The difference in stencil and stamp is quite noticeable and I think that the stencil gives a softer look to my card.

The video is not too long and I have sped things up a little in the middle.

 I hope you enjoy it and this set is sure to disappear quickly so be sure to look tomorrow if this is one that you would like to have .

Die Cutting Essentials 54 - Piece by Piece Jigsaw Die Set

Hi Everybody,

This fun little jigsaw can make some really pretty cards if you cut the die from different coloured card stock

And because there are so many pieces to each cut you can make several cards as I have in the video.

I really enjoyed playing with this and although the pieces are small the overall effect is very eye catching.
