Silver Frame

Hi Everybody,

Today's card has a silver frame on the front which means it would be prefect to add a small photo to.

For my card I have added one of the verses from the #2 stamp set and then decorated it with Daisies and silver leaves.

It is not a big card and because of the layers it would need a box.

I have used the  A5 Nesting Rectangles but the smaller dies in the set to make the whole base  and then layered with a silver card.

This would look just as good created in gold too. And there is a shinier version of both at Craft Stash

Cream & Gold Birthday Wishes

Hi Everybody,

Today's card is created with the Lacey Nested Oval and I have used cream and gold to make it.

It would make a lovely wedding card with an appropriate sentiment or change the colours for any other occasion.

It is 5x7 when finished and so will fit neatly into the 5x7 Card & Box Set

I have blended the flowers into the colour scheme ... but a little tip I learned a long time ago is to buy mostly white flowers and colour them your self to match your designs.

You can but Isopropyl from the pharmacy and is sometimes referred to as Rubbing Alcohol and it is not expensive. A little goes a long way

Blue and Lemon

Hi Everybody,

Today's combination is pale lemon and a beautiful blue and I think they look wonderful together.

It is such a refreshing colour scheme that looks elegant at the same time.

I have used the 5x7 Card and Box set and topped it with some layers from the Ornate Nesting rectangles.

Snuggled in behind the flowers are the Delicate Pearly Swirls dotted with blue pearls  and the leaves are from the Daisy Flourish Flowers

And they all sit on top of the Flourish Embossing Folder panel

I would be more than happy to receive a card like this and it would sit on display for everybody to see.

Card & Gift Winner

Card Making Magic Oval Rainbow Card

Hi Everybody,

Today I had some fun with the new A5 Nesting Ovals and created this Rainbow Card which In think would delight children if they got one for their birthday.

Their very own Rainbow and if you added their age it would be doubly delightful.

I didn't have the right coloured card so I used my pens to get the look. I only coloured the outside edges of the card as no one will see the centres.

The little die set with sun and clouds is an old Spellbinders one that I have and I couldn't find it on their website.  But the one I have linked to would still it fit the bill but the sun is a little larger than the one I used.

I hope you enjoy the video ... it's really short so wont take up too much of your evening

Baby Book Card

Hi Everybody,

This pretty project has been filmed to show you how I made it as a really special baby card.

I used the A5 Nesting Ovals to create the pages to my book  and they play really well with older dies from the card making magic range.

All me collections are available with Craft Stash

This project can be dresses p as much as you would like for boys or girls. And it would serve a lot of other occasions too

I used to make this kind of thing with large Spellbinders dies but they were all retired and no longer available. So I think these are an excellent choice for those who like these book type cards

Have fun with it and I promise you it is not difficult or time consuming to make.

Be Kind ....

Hi Everybody,

This is another card sample from the HOCHANDA shows and on this one I have used the Alphabet that is available with Craft Stash

They come a plain letters, as shown,  but there is also a filigree top that can be added to give the letters a Lacey look.

In the background I have used two of the Petunia Wraps and added a Nesting Oval to the top

The silver card is cut with Ornate Nesting Rectangles and the green leaves are from the Rose Flourish Set

I think this is a really pretty card and you could add any word you wanted to the top of your card with the Alphabet Set

It is the  A5 Card & Box  size so quite a large card but of course you can make the box to fit it or turn  the box  into  an envelope if you preferred.

Card & Gift Winner

Hi Everybody,

What a beautiful weekend this is turning out to be. Ruby and I are off on a family picnic later this morning and we are going near the river so that Isabella ... who is now eight ... can go paddling with the dogs and having a lovely time.

Ruby loves swimming and she is sure to find some deeper water where she can do that. Mind you she is only a little Spaniel and so deep for her is not deep for humans. So we need to take towels and water and some food for the dogs as well as ourselves. 

It should be a lot of fun and a gorgeous day out especially welcome after the really busy week I had. 

I hope you managed to join me on Hochanda and see the fabulous dies on offer this time.

Simply Cards & Papercraft 193

Hi Everybody,

This months SC&P 193 has a beautiful A4 stamp set with it and the images are really lovely.

My Irish Fan Club

Hi Everybody,

Nothing pleases me more than being the "GIVER" of beautiful things. I have so much still in my life and  I enjoy sharing what I have. So let me tell you the story behind this intriguing title and the picture.

As you know every week I give away one of the cover mount gifts that come with the magazines from Practical Publishing. I asked PP's permission to do this and I was delighted when they said yes. 

One of my winners awhile ago was a lady called Elaine Prendergast and she wrote with her address to claim the gift. She told me that she was a school teacher to the Second Class who are 7 / 8 year old little girls.  She has told her class about my blog, and they have looked at the pages and they like my cards.

Elaine is a crafter herself and she has shared some of her own things with the class, as many of them enjoy crafting too, and so I asked if she would like a few more things for the children to use in their class.

I put together this box of items that I have bought in the past and it was full of all sorts 

I posted it to Elaine in Ireland and she took it into her class for the children to see.

This was my gift to the class and I could almost hear the squeals of delight here in Blackpool.

Here they are in front of the box and I wish I could have been there to hear them.

On the table in the centre is all the stuff I sent and I am sure that they have had a lot of fun playing with it.

I sent inks and papers, and embellishments for them to dress up their projects.

Some ready foiled packs for them to put together. And Flowers, Ribbons and Pearls of course !!

There is even a can of shaving foam in there for them to get really messy with

Some of them have emailed messages to me thanking me for their gift.

Elaine sent me the photographs of her class and once I got permission from their parents I am able to write this blog post.

And all these little smiling faces have made me so happy

As a class they have made me this huge card and inside everyone has added their comment and signed it onto a die cut shape.

They love die cutting and have used Elaine's machine, and caused a lot of consternation when they asked Father Christmas for one

Parents started asking what a BIG SHOT was !!!!

And so this is why I say these are my Irish Fan Club

They will all be moving on to a higher class later this year and so Elaine will have to start again with another group of bright smiling faces

Card & Gift Winner and some news ...

Hi Everybody,

It is beautiful here today and the sun is really warm. Ruby has just gone for a long walk with Vickie and Dougal while I get some work done, I am busy making samples for next weeks HOCHANDA shows as I am there again with another One Day Special on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I will be on the show at 6pm and 8pm on the Tuesday and at 9am 1pm and 5pm on the Thursday so I hope you will be able to join me for any of those shows. You may notice a difference in me too.

I love hair with curl in it and I have spent the best part of forty years using heated rollers to get that curl.

 BUT now I have discovered that I have natural curls and I bought a book called 

"The Curly Girl Handbook"

from Amazon and the information in there is invaluable.

I started the Curly Girl Method only a few days ago and already I have some wonderful curls in my hair. 

I have followed it to the letter so far and it's not hard ... after all you would wash, condition and dry your hair any way. 

All I have done is change the products that I use to make my hair healthier and over time it will get more curly

So what you see now is my natural going grey hair. No more colouring, no heated rollers, this is what I was born with and I really am liking it. I wish I had discovered The Curly Girl Method Years ago

Die Cutting Essentials 53 - My Little Memory Book

Hi Everybody,

Today I am sharing with you Die Cutting Essentials 53 which is going to be on sale tomorrow 20th June.

The picture shows one that I have done and although not very big you can add as many pages to it with the die as you would like.
